About Mrs. French Bulldog

To say I don’t change up my jewelry very often would be a gross understatement. I wear the same earrings, bracelet and watch every day. I will occasionally wear a different necklace, but most days it’s the Elsa Peretti Open Heart Pendant from Tiffany & Co.

Although I’ve worn them every day since my Junior Winter Formal, for our wedding I’m planning on wearing the diamond earrings shown above. Papa Frenchie gave them to Mama Frenchie in the beginning of their marriage, and Mama Frenchie gave them to me almost 12 years ago.

However, I do think I should wear a different necklace, so I’ve been trolling everyone’s favorite go-to shopping place, Etsy.

I’ve found several different options and I need your help. What should I wear?

Option A - Eternity Pearl Ring Necklace by heatherberry

Option B - Single Sterling Branch Necklace by CJ

Option C - Divine Lariat by lizix26

I'm Just Not That Fancy : wedding jewelry Lizix26 Option D - Rustic Little Nest (sterling silver) by lizix26

I'm Just Not That Fancy : wedding jewelry Lizix2601

Option E - Multi Strand Swarovski White Pearl Bridal Wedding Necklace by shacara

Option F - Oh So Fancy - Fresh Water Pearl on Silver by LaraLeighDesigns

I'm Just Not That Fancy : wedding jewelry Laralei

As you can see I have a pearl theme. Mr Frenchie has expressed interest in me wearing pearls, and I think a delicate pearl necklace would complement my dress.

What do you think?

Option B is my favorite, but I think E would look awesome with your dress! All are gorgeous. I’m going with pearls as well. :)

I like option E! I’ve seen that design before, but this one is much more… random in its placement. It’s very floaty looking and reminds me of bubbles :)

Plus, I think it would look great with the sweetheart neckline of your dress!

Ummm….I want them all! :) But my favorite is the multi strand necklace, it looks delicate but not so delicate that it won’t be noticed.

I love both C and D. I think C is a bit fancier though and might work better for a wedding.

I like them all! The only one that I think might not work with your dress is the lariat, b/c you don’t want it to fall into your cleavage. The others are more rounded so they’d compliment the sweetheart neckline.

I love C, D, and E, but E is what I already see the most and the others are so creative!

i’ll be cautious about E, because in certain lighting, i’ve seen how the shadows make it look like the bride has a spotted neck / collarbone!

Option E is beautiful!
Comment on Option C - I had a necklace that did that stick-it-in-the-loop thing and it didn’t always “sit” where I wanted it to. I found myself adjusting it often (or checking on it), and I don’t think that’s what you’re looking to do on your wedding day. But maybe it was just my necklace and not that style in general.

I like the freshwater pearl the best, but the nest is cute because it complements your cake topper :)

Love the fresh water pearl. It’s simple- and something you’ll definitely wear again in the future!

All the options are so pretty, I chose option C. I think It’s very elegant and just enough necklace.

The single pearl is so wonderfully classy!

Okay I voted for E but I really love B,D, AND E. I think your dress will look super classy with pearls and if you can’t wear something that makes a statement on your wedding day, when can you? E is the best compromise of flash and subtle sophistication. Plus, Mr. Frenchie will still “recognize” you- no giant leap! :)

I really like option C, but it depends on your style of dress

They are lovely!
That reminds me of a question: In Germany, there is a superstition against pearls on your wedding day. Do you have that in America as well?

@busylizzy: I have never heard of that. Does it bring bad luck?

I chose option C because I think the last one is too simple, and the multistrand, I’m just not loving how you can see the wire/thread… That would bother me the whole day.

Either way, I think you’re going to looking STUNNING in your dress, no matter the necklace.

@365:
Yes, pearls are symbols of tears - each pearl a tear. Well, I think I’ll just make up my own superstition and see those as tears of joy :)
And anyway, this only applies for real pearls….
