About Mrs. Joey

… Ms. Joey will solve the table number problem.

We thought we figured out the whole table number thing a few weeks ago. Remember? I blogged about it.

While Mr. Joey's Away (Part 4)... : wedding decor reception Tablen01

We were really excited until reality set in. We have almost 26 tables that seat anywhere between 4-10 people. That’s a lot of wine bottles to have on tables and at the bar.

We have a few families of 4 we’d like to put in booths who wouldn’t drink a bottle of wine. We also have groups of 4 who would go through a bottle in no time flat. Plus, do we put red out or white? There were too many questions and too many things to figure out.

So I hunted around again, and of course, Martha provided the perfect solution.

I have a few changes that will liven up the table number and make it our own.

What was a table number idea that you loved but knew was impractical for your wedding?

another cute idea you found! love it!

i thought of all kinds of fun ways to ‘number’ the tables (using locations, months, etc.) but the number was always off…we probably will only have 8-10 tables and it was always…off. heh.

We are still using the wine bottle idea (thanks for the idea!) and just using empty bottles. My fiance and I and my parents are winos, so it shouldn’t be a problem to save up 16 or so empty bottles by November.

What about using empty wine bottles? That way they are decor only and you don’t have to worry about choosing red vs. white. The real wine can be stocked at the bar.

@Sher&Tom: I think they may be too tall for most of our centerpieces and tables.

Another super cute idea.

We are naming our tables after our favorite places we’ve been to. We have a simple silver 5×7 frame with a picture of us from that place. Then, at the top of the picture is the name of the table and the bottom is a simple 1-2 sentence synopsis of why we love it there. Just our ay to share what we love with the people we love. :)

We scanned photos of our parent’s wedding pictures and had his parents photo on one side with my parent’s photo on the other and their names and wedding dates listed underneath the photo. Using photoshop, my husband added the table numbers to the right of the photos. They were really cute and personal and the guests loved them!

We didn’t have table numbers…so all of the ones I loved were impractical. Boo!

I have been eyeing those wine bottle table numbers with the mock french cuffs, except I have no idea how to incorporate them into my wedding!
