Recent Etsy Buys!

June 26th, 2009 @ 3:04 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

As I have said 100 times, Etsy is a gem in my life and in the lives of so many brides. I made 3 random purchases from Etsy this week and I am not only excited about them but don’t feel at all guilty for going off the “budget plan” for these.

First, these gems from the Etsy Shop of Ay Mujer. I plan to use them at our rehearsal dinner, and just think the mixed colors are so fantastic! The seller takes custom orders. My set of multi-colored flags were only $11 for 1 banner that is 13’ long, with (9) 9″x10″ flags. I bought 3 sets.

Second, I found these adorable paper strings that have “love songs” on them. They were $4 for 16 pieces in the Etsy Shop of Ormolu. I bought 5 sets. I love them! Songs include: I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You, Say That You Love Me, Thank You For Loving Me, Love Is All We Need, Baby I Love Your Way, and more. Check out her shop for some other amazing finds!!

Lastly, I purchased this gorgeous vintage lace ribbon from the Etsy Shop of A Bohemian Market. I bought the deep pink and got 1 roll of 12 yards for $4.00.

What have some of your spontaneous Etsy buys been?

I discovered Etsy through Weddingbee, and ladies, you have me obsessed! I bought the following for the wedding: my cake topper, personalized stickers for the favor boxes, the flower for my hair, my FI’s wedding gift (cufflinks based on nintendo things), my garter, and the gifts for all of my attendants (aprons and flamingo themed garden stuff). I wish I had known about the site before I bought invitations, because I would have found those on Etsy too!

I couldn’t agree more, Etsy has kept me sane and and out of debt (so far). I’ve found custom stamps, an adorable cake topper, wedding band, custom clutches for bridesmaids, and more…I’m so thankful for this wedding resource!

Love the banners! I made some similar ones of my own after seeing these on Etsy. Unfortunately the 100s of banners I made weren’t able to make an appearance because it rained for the entire day before our outdoor reception :( and there was not time to hang them up before the guests arrived and the sun came out.

Can’t wait to see pics of how they look for your dinner.

I love your new Etsy treasures. I peruse etsy daily but have not purchased anything yet….I’m too scared to unleash the strings. I know I’ll go crazy. Instead I book them as my favorites for days and then realize that I don’t need them.

I haven’t purchased anything yet, but I’m definately hoping to put those flags in there somewhere. I see a lot of stuff daily, but I just can’t justify buying anything until we get details nailed down!
