Wedding Rubber Stamps

June 26th, 2009 @ 12:14 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

I decided to order rubber stamps to use on a lot of different wedding elements (some determined, and some yet to be determined!). I am so please with them that I wanted to write about them.

I decided to order the birds separate from the tree so I could change the colors of ink/embossing powder if I wanted to!

I had two stamps made, and they were both custom. The first stamp was the tree stamp. It is 3″ by 4″ and I bought it for $17.50 (not including shipping) at Impress Rubber Stamps. I was very happy with the quality.

The second stamp was the bird stamp, and it is .5″ by 1″ and I ordered it from RubberStamps.Net. I was happy with the quality of this stamp too. It is very small which is good but I will say that the bigger the stamp the easier one to maneuver.

Here are the stamps in action!

Ways I plan to use my stamps:

  • Soap for OOT bags
  • On the invitation enclosures
  • On the muslin bags for my OOT bags (they are small!)
  • On the programs
  • On the apple cider mugs (more on that to come)

How are you incorporating stamps into your wedding? Any other ideas for ways I should use the stamps?

Those birds are great! I would stamp on the envelopes. :-)

I got 1000 pulpboard coasters and I’m stamping on them for coasters, tags, etc.

They came out great. I just started stamping. I bought a few from Paper Source for Thank you’s and Save the Date’s. I just finished up the thank yous using an embossing heat tool and I love thee effect.

These are really neat stamps! I love that you did them separately so you can use different colors, or just use one of them on smaller pieces.

If you had any welcome bags or other materials for your guests (maps, directions, itineraries, etc.), you could stamp them. After the event, you can use them on thank yous or other stationery items, too!

I did this for some projects, and blogged a tutorial about making your own rubber stamp from a graphic…if you’re interested, it’s at http://ow.ly/fVJR

We got “custom wrapping paper” by using large stamps at random on copier paper.

Yes, copier paper.

I think it looked great.
