Because I Can’t Make Up My Mind….

June 29th, 2009 @ 2:21 pm by Mrs. Beagle

I know I’ve posted about wedding jewelry options before, but they don’t seem… right. Although, I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking for, so maybe my search is just a lost cause. I’m also trying to find a piece of jewelry I can wear out after the wedding (I think it would be a sweet, sentimental reminder of our wedding day) and although this is practical, finding something that fits this criteria is proving to be difficult. I love the way these chunky necklaces look, but I’m not sure if they would be too much with my lacy dress.

After seeing these pictures though, I expanded my search to include necklaces similar. The idea of wearing a colorful necklace also crossed my mind because it would have the same effect as my bouquet.

Here some more options I came up with:

Garbage Goose

Charisabella

Faeried Treasures

Ooo Pretty

Faded Roses

La Boit a Bijoux

What do you think? Are any of these possible contenders, or should I go with something more traditional? Or better yet, should I skip the necklace and just search for earrings?

I definitely love the last 2! So vintagey and beautiful! The metal cutout flower on the second to last one is gorgeous!!

Love the Faded Roses one above — but I wonder if it’d be too dark with a wedding dress?

Are you more of an earring or necklace person? And, your mystery dress is strapless, right? Do YOU think a necklace or earrings would work better with it?

@Miss Bruschetta: Honestly, I’m more of an earring person, but I will most likely be wearing my hair down. The above necklaces would only be worn after the ceremony/during the reception so I think dark would be okay.

Wedding dress (hmm… I really should think of a name for her) is strapless (not sweetheart).

@EmilyM2010: Vintage is definately what I’m looking for (I think vinage would look best with the dress). Thanks for your input. :)

Seriously, we have to choose? These are all so gorgeous! I’m a fan of one piece of statement jewelry. Since you’ll be wearing your hair down, I would go with a bold necklace (good luck choosing!), and really simple earrings. My hair will be up at my wedding, so I’m doing the opposite. Statement earrings and no necklace.

I love the idea of adding a fun necklace for the reception!! These are all definite contenders in my book. If I had to choose though, I’d go for the 4th one :) It is beautiful, yet simple!

I love the second to last one, love the color and the uniqueness - good luck choosing. I think its great to go with something bold, especially as you will be wearing your hair down.

what about doing chunky pearls? My mind instantly went to pearls when you said lace and vintage. Something along the lines of this?

The seller has a ton of other color variations in the bracelet section too but I bet you could get it custom made into a bracelet (or even get larger pearls if it’s not big enough).

I really like the idea of a necklace, i think its unique! everyone wear’s earrings!! I’m not in love with any of those specifically although they are all pretty. I really like the idea on your inspiration pics with multi strand necklace like the top two in the inspiration board pics. I think mulitiple strands would be much more of a statement piece. Can’t wait to see what you pick!

love the one from faded roses too! i think, beyond the style of your dress, it’s whether you feel that you want a strong statement piece like that. some brides may love to rock something like that, while others may think that it distracts from the dress / whatever else.
