About Mrs. Cloud

Make Room for the Fur-Baby!

June 30th, 2009 @ 3:05 pm by Mrs. Cloud

Mr. Cloud and I have a very special little lady in our lives; she’s white and fluffy, and her name is Bella! We actually did two shoots for our engagement photos (which I will blog more about later) and this is one of my faves from the second shoot. Our photographer Heather (of Dolphin Dance Photography) nailed our gal perfectly here! I think this is her nosey look—she always has to know what’s going on!

[Dolphin Dance Photography]

Obviously we had involved Bella in our engagement photos, but I really thought that would be the last of her involvement in our big day.

We are staying in a hotel the nights before and after, and it just didn’t make a lot of sense to bring her down just to leave her alone during the ceremony and reception. That was until I saw this:

[Source]

I am absolutely smitten with Darci of With This Ring… and her adorable pup! And then she had to go and post these the other day too…

[Source found via With This Ring…]

I am dying!! From what I understand, our hotel allows small dogs less than ten pounds. Bella is about 13 pounds and the vet recently told us she could stand to lose a pound or two. Maybe a diet is in order? I mean, what’s a pound or two difference? Will they really weigh her? Now we just need to find someone who we trust enough to take care of her, that won’t be at the wedding, and will also bring her to the hotel for a mini shoot…

Are you involving your pets in your big day? If they can’t come to the actual ceremony/reception, how are you still including them?

Awwwwe adorable!!!! Our 2 dogs are our ring bearers. Brutus is a chocolate lab/Chesapeake Bay retriever mix and will be 13 months old, and Bubba is a Puggle - he will be just about 3 years old. Theyre best buds. Although, they wont have the real rings…Brutus is a hoover and eats ANYTHING he can get in his mouth…This includes gum he manages to scrape off of the NYC sidewalks. so gross (he only did that once! ok twice.) And they are allowed at the ceremony AND reception! We’ll send them home early though, it might be too much going on for them…and too much table food!

AWE!!!! I have a chocolate lab named bella! She is much bigger than your Bella, but we definately want her apart of our wedding. I don’t know if i trust her to walk down the aisle…. she’d run and jump on us. lol. I was thinking of having my nephew (RB) pull her in a white wagon. I love that these pictures are here… gives me ideas. Thanks.

My ONE single regret from our wedding and day-after shoot was that I didn’t have someone bring in our Llasha (aka Cotton). Each time I look at Mrs. Penguin’s photos, and now these I want to get dressed up in our wedding clothes again and have another shot to include her. So I vote for finding a friend to help out and that those 3 lbs. don’t matter at all (blame it on her fur) ;)

PS. Bella is a cutie!

We didn’t get our furbaby until after we got married, but I doubt we would have flown him to Cancun. What kinda breed is Bella? Kinda looks like my maltese.

I have a Bella pup too! But she’s a little heavier than yours…like…40 lbs more! My FI is so disappointed that our babies won’t be taking part in our wedding…but they are just too out of control!

I remember seeing those Lab puppy photos the other day and thought to myself “if that were any of my dogs, they would be making a HOT mess of anything they were around with their puppy teeth!”. lol I want so badly for our dogs to be at our wedding, but Labs are a bit more of a handful than most dogs.

Your Bella is absolutely too cute for words though. I hope it all works out so that she can share in your day and so you’ll have adorable photos to prove it! :D

Bella is so CUTE!! Love the look on her face in yall’s picture! We too had our babies (2 siberian huskies) in our engagement photo shoot and used one of them as our official engagement announcement in the paper. Our pups aren’t allowed at our venue, but we have decided to do a first look at our home because I’m not getting all dressed up and not taking some family pictures! I’m also using the girls in a DIY project for our photobooth. I thought I could upload the picture here, but I cant. You can check it out on my blog - its one of my favorite things about our wedding so far! :) http://thegooseandus.blogspot.com/2009/06/diy-get-your-favors.html

I don’t think they would weight her… they probably wouldn’t know the difference between 10 lbs and 13 lbs.

We decided not to bring Jellyby, our shih tzu, because we thought the trip out to California and being around 250 people all day would be too stressful for her. But we so so missed her! If you don’t bring Bella, there are all sorts of ways you can incorporate her image into the wedding!

I wish. Mr. Peep and Mama Peep said no. I’m still slightly sad about it, but I don’t know what we would have done with him that day? But we did include him in our engagement pics!!

Aww, that would be so sweet if Bella could participate in the festivities! I wish our cats could come to the wedding, but they would probably just run around and scratch people.

I doubt they’ll weigh her, I hope you have her involved! I’ve been trying to train my dog…but he is still a bit too naughty to be the ring bearer quite.

My fiance and I have a 3 dogs! 2 dachsunds named Olie and Mia, and one Papillon named Jazzy. We’re having our wedding on his dad’s ranch, so we’ll definitely be having them there with us! It wouldn’t feel right without them. They are our babies!

As far as engagement photos, I think we’ll have them in a few shots. We’ve had our “family” portrait done a couple times and they were pretty well behaved.

Your Bella is, well, bella!

Would love to have our two dogs involved but unfortunately we’re getting married in national park - no pets allowed! I’m hoping to schedule an e-shoot where they can be involved instead. They are our family after all :)

My fiance and I talked jokingly about having our cat in the wedding somehow…maybe as the ring pillow :\

But now I’m inspired to at least include her in the photos somewhere!

We are having our two dogs as ring bearers also. One is a PeekaPoo and the other is a ShihPoo. I’m very excited although I know my extended family will think i’m crazy.

oh Bella is a cutie!

I would give anything to have my beagle, Otis, and my pointer, Lucky Dog, at the wedding, but sadly we are doing it in the FL Keys and they can’t come. My boys are so important in our lives and they will be the ONE thing I wish I could have. My big dog has been with me for 9 years…he’s shared everything in my life! But I take comfort in the fact that the lil Beagle would just eat all the cake before anyone got there so its better we leave him home!

Billie and Bella look just like twins! Billie even has that uneven colored nose, pinky brown! That was one of the first questions we asked of our venue: if we could bring our dog. It was so great to have Billie in the wedding. She even got her own Filet Mignon! Spoiled!

So cute! I highly doubt they would weigh your pup! Unfortunately for us, our venue, a PUBLIC PARK, allows NO animals besides seeing eye dogs. I guess they used to have a big problem with people not cleaning up after their dogs so they just did a blanket ban. Sadly our little friends will not be able to join us on our day!
