OMGOMGOMGOMG.
Three days from now, Mr. Bunny and I will be married!
Life has been insane the past couple of days. Sunny Bunny brought her Australian boyfriend home and hosted the Bunny bachelorette Friday night. My family moved me out of my apartment and into our condo in about 3 hours flat on Saturday. Sunday night I took a break and chatted with the hive on Bee TV until my mother forced me to hammer out the rehearsal dinner guest list. And now I’m here at work, still plugging away on everything I need to get done so that I can go on our honeymoon next week!
When everything just seems too overwhelming and I feel like I’ll never get it all done, I close my eyes and imagine our wedding: the lovely details, the decorations I’ve been dreaming up for months, and most importantly (in fact, so important that it makes everything else seem completely insignificant), me and Mr. Bunny, standing in front of all our friends in family, promising to stick together through everything life throws our way.
Of course, images like these are extraordinarily helpful in getting me to that zen state:
When I started reading Weddingbee last September, I was suddenly overwhelmed with ideas that I could incorporate into my wedding. Gradually I started changing my mind about many early decisions I had made based on new information gleaned from the hive. Originally I wasn’t going to wear a veil because I thought they were too “bridal”—but when I realized just how many quirky options there are out there, I decided on two veils! One for the ceremony, one for the reception. I wasn’t going to spend a lot of money on a photographer or flowers, but I quickly discovered (based on a ton of photographic evidence) how key these two items are for pulling off “the dream wedding”. And c’mon, I had never even HEARD of out-of-town bags or blocking out hotel rooms for non-local guests!
Having your mind opened is a good thing, no doubt.
One thing that I am stubbornly clinging to, however, is the idea of not having assigned seating for the dinner reception. Some of you will gasp.

My ring’s stunt double came in today. I’m quite impressed. Maybe I should start calling it “the clone”. See for yourself!
I feel so much better not having a naked ring finger. It isn’t as good as having the real deal, but it’ll do while my ring is M.I.A..
Reader maritter is selling her size 6 Kleinfeld wedding dress. The dress is made with ivory Israeli silk and has a corset back so it can fit different sizes. She is asking $1000 or best offer.

“Make an elegant invitation statement without the fuss. Stylish invitation sets with matching envelopes, reception and response cards included.”
My former attempt at the centerpieces were a bust. I searched online for inspirations, but most of what I found wasn’t doable on our budget. And then I looked down, literally, a found a little inspiration in my own home.

I put this little number together over the weekend when my Mom told me to take some roses home from her garden.

This past weekend Mr Frenchie and I flew up to Northern California to visit his family and attend the wedding of my dear friends Alisa and Joe.
We had a blast and the wedding was beautiful! The details came together perfectly and really represented the couple’s “preppy” style.
The wedding was held at a Country Club where Joe used to be a golf instructor. Check out that cake and the Ring Bearer!

Okay, I will admit it - my posts have been incredibly sexist. Where has the focus been on the guys’ attire?! The ladies tend to get a lot more screen time between dresses, shoes, hairstyles, jewelry, etc. Even though it is often the case that the guys don’t even think about what they’re wearing until 3 days before the wedding when they pick up their tuxes, their appearance is equally as important!
Of course, I wasn’t intentionally leaving the guys out in the cold… Mr. S and I just hadn’t had the time to pick out their tuxes. Since I had last Friday off, Mr. S and I ventured to a nearby MW Tux to pick everything out. I let Mr. S take the lead and choose what he liked best… I just sat back and nodded along!
He settled on this great Calvin Klein tux with a faint grey pinstripe. I love it! It’s also more slim of a fit, which is great, because Mr. S’s tuxes often end up being a little big and boxy on him. We were assured this would be perfect for him.

I have to say that one thing that I will never forget about our wedding (and weekend) was how I felt. I can honestly say, that from the inside out, I glowed. I felt it in my bones, I felt it in my skin, and by the end of the day I could feel it in my smile because it was so tired.
Unlike the ultra-fabulous Meatball, Ballet Flat, and Joey, I was a bit more covert about my plan to find my bridal glow and my flab to fab plan. I think it stems from years of feeling self conscious about my body and my weight. But I think it’s about time I shed my inner fear and let you all in on my adventure to get my glow on.
Here’s Part 1 of my Flab to Fab Plan:
Growing up I was an uber athlete. I did gymnastics for 30 hours a week until I was 16 and then my body just started to hurt. I could tell that the bending and flexing was putting a strain on my body. It took a knee injury to unearth the truth; a MRI confirmed that I had the knees of a 40 year old woman!! AT 16!!! I kept up workouts and exercising until I went to college.
My first year of college, I stopped exercising and started eating and drinking. The pounds came on and on and on.
It wasn’t until I graduated that I realized how unhealthy I’d become.

Mr. Cloud and I have been engaged now for over a year an a half. I knew immediately I wanted to handle a LOT of the projects for the wedding myself. Up first was our save the dates, and I wanted to get them out as soon as possible. It made sense, considering about 80% of the people we are inviting will be traveling for the big day. I wanted to give plenty of notice of our date, as well as start directing people towards our wedding website (which I may or may not have set up within two days of the engagement).
I had seen magnet STDs before, and was smitten. I didn’t want anything cheap feeling though, so I figured my best bet would be to outsource at least that part of the project. That’s when I came upon MagnetStreet.com. When ordering from them, you can either choose from their super cute designs, or upload your own. We decided to go with one of theirs that perfectly matched our color scheme in the mini magnet size.

My very dear friend Sophia is planning her entire Los Angeles wedding in only 3 months. I’m devastated I won’t be able to attend, so I’m trying to help her plan as much as I can from afar by sending her inspiration pictures and vendor referrals, calling in favors from peeps I know in the industry, and taking care of the little details so she won’t have to worry about them at all.
This past weekend I created a care package for her that included an emergency kit and bathroom basket. Though there is a lot of product overlap, the bathroom basket may be at the venue ahead of time while Sophia is getting ready at a hotel room, so I thought I’d cover my bases and get doubles of most things. I’ve only included pricing once when I divided products up, and items without prices are things I had around our apartment. Here’s a breakdown of exactly what I included and what everything cost!

Hi everyone!
I’m back from the UK and ready to broadcast! Join me for a glass of Franzia, tissue paper pomanders, and if you’re lucky, I just might try on my (too big) wedding dress for you!

Recently, I attempted my first ever wedding DIY project! I wouldn’t say the results were outstanding, but I definitely learned a few lessons. Keep reading to find out how to make eco-friendly soy candles for your reception and ceremony decor. Soy candles are one of the easiest kinds to make, which is lucky for me since I’m new to DIY.
Step One: Gather all of your supplies.
A few months ago, I started playing with the centerpieces. I already bought a bunch of vases from CB2 and West Elm to use and had just finished collecting some super fun fabric to use as table runners.
Here are the results of the first go around:
