About Mrs. Cloud

I saw this picture what seems like a million years ago now and knew immediately I HAD TO HAVE red shoes. Our colors are black and white with a hint of deep red, so what better then to have a hint peeking out from under my dress?

[source]

Colored shoes are obviously everywhere these days, and I would like to say I’m not a fan of many things once they have been really overdone, but I just can’t let go of this one. One of my particular favorites is Jessica from tying the knot and her super cute purple pumps.

[source]

The perfect red shoes are harder to come by. And my dream shoes? Slightly out of my price range at a whopping $500+!

[source]

[source]

And my personal faves…

[source]

A girl can dream, right?? The bonus red sole only makes it that much better. Unfortunately, Daddy Cloud and my loving fiancé didn’t see it my way. So, the search is on for the perfect shoe with a perfect price tag. No department store or website will be left unviewed! I am a bride on a mission!!

Where did you find your perfect shoe? Did you jump on the color train as well?

I did join the colored shoe bandwagon and loved it. I had a hard time finding the perfect purple shoes. I finally found dyeables at David’s Bridal. They were peep toe with a 3 inch heel with a little bling. I loved my shoes!

I originally wanted purple shoes really badly, but decided that they don’t really work with the style of my dress! Bummer!

Maybe you can find one of your dreamy pairs of red shoes on Ebay or something?

I had fabulous luck on Amazon, of all places. It has a great search function, and has some amazing sales on designer stuff from time to time. Good luck!

I jumped on the colored shoe train. Mine are similar to the patent style you listed above but in bright green. I scoured the internet too and found mine on http://www.endless.com. They have an awesome return policy but I didn’t need to return them because they are perfect!

Sigh. Those shoes are all gorgeous. don’t forget to check victoria’s secret! They have pretty shoes, and many are under 100 dollars a pair.

I wouldn’t look at it as jumping on the bandwagon, but doing and wearing what’s right for you. No one who knows me could picture me wearing white traditional bridal shoes. They’re just not me. Same goes for french manictures and all pastel colors. Guests don’t read wedding blogs the way we read them. They’re not going to see your shoes and think omg, I can’t believe she’s wearing colored shoes like a 100 other brides getting married today.

Purple here too! Except mine are a kitten heel, rubber soled pair I already owned because I love them and couldn’t find anything (for any price) that I liked as much. I wear heels occasionally, but would never consider wearing them to my wedding, when I really don’t want to be thinking aobut how much my feet hurt!

What’s your budget and high are you willing to go? I am also looking for deep red shoes, preferably satin over patent. http://www.zappos.com/product/7417533/color/12950 Are a relative steal compared to Louboutins, but honestly, after a day of pictures, I can’t imagine standing on them at the ceremony and not wanting to cry. Nina (also check out Zappos) has a couple of pairs. I’m not sure what her red looks like, but note that they offer customization on a few different styles of shoe. I am currently considering ordering a sample of the satin and then the Electra in a 3.25. Good luck and if you have any ideas, please let me know. I’m tinab1181 on here as well.

whoops for Nina it’s http://ninashoes.com/ but you can also check them out through Zappos first to get an idea of what size you are before you buy.

I found really cute red wedding shoes at Nordstrom. They are the house brand BP Platinum and they are called Enlightenment I think. They are satin peeptoe sandals and have a bow built into them. And they are under $80. LOVE!

I wore silver to my wedding and got them from http://www.gojane.com. And The Left Bank http://www.leftbankjewelry.com just got the Martinez Valero shoe line in, which isn’t technically a dyeable shoe, but is made of satin so it dyes really well! They have some super sexy pairs!

I found mine on a photographer’s blog. A bride she shot had the one’s I wanted in blue (but I wanted red). I sent a note out to my friends and on my blog to ask people to search for these in red. And voila! I got them in red and could NOT be happier. Found them on Zappos!

Those last ones were my fave too! I wanted them in champagne/gold. I searched high and low and never found my size! They were going to be my wedding attire splurge since I bought a used dress. I ended up finding cute shoes at J. Crew, but oh how I love those Louboutins!

I found mine on Ann Taylor Loft of all places. They were red satin and gorge. I suggest looking on http://www.shopstyle.com. You can type in the things you’re looking for (red satin heel, rosette etc) and set a price limit. They aggregate findings from all over. Good luck!

hot. hot. hot.

i think it’s time i admit my guilty decision i’m making. i won’t be wearing heels for my wedding because the future hubby is only two inches taller then me so i will be sporting the flats… but i can’t help loving all of these sexy shoe photos — i’m buying a pair of shoes just for some pix, if i can’t find a sexy pair to borrow from a friend (with the largest sexy shoe collection i’ve ever seen) i might just purchase some and return them after wearing them for 3 minutes.

we are renting a classic convertable and i need a pick of my legs kicked over the side with some sexy shoes! :)

I found my purple shoes at DSW by accident. I was going to wear old navy blue shoes that I’ve had for several years (something old/blue) and I figured they would be fine, since the bottom of my dress is a deep eggplant purple. I don’t really like skinny heels or heels too high, since I’m very active and not a girly girl and figured I’ll fall and break my neck. I was browsing for other shoes and these jumped out at me. I tried them on and amazingly, they seem pretty comfortable and are not too high. To top it off, they were 40% of a $40 pricetag, AND I had a $10 off coupon. So, for $15, I figured it’s okay if I never wear them again. At least they are fun!

As much as I like the idea, I decided not to. As much as possible, I tried to stay away from trends. Although the photobooth I couldn’t do without. More pictures? Bring on the wagon!

I ended up getting a pair of Delmans from Zappos in red. I love the Louboutins, but I cannot justify spending that much. I love them though, especially the pleating and buckle on the front.

I found my shoes at Nordstrom. They are so close to the Louboutins that I wanted, and about an eighth of the price. I love them and can’t wait for the red to peek out from under my dress!

I wore a pair of Garnet Monaco by Salon Shoes on my wedding day. I wanted to wear them all night so it took me a while to find a cute pair under 3 inches high.

I, too, am obsessed with the red wedding shoes. The shoes in my profile pic are Stuart Weitzman, and I do believe they just might be the shoe. My guy and his friends think they’re hideous. I don’t care! They are about $350.

Red shoes are gorgeous! I am sure you will find something great :)

I rocked these teal shoes…loved them!

(that photo is not so hot…they are prettier in person)

Colored shoes are way more re-wearable…so that’s a plus!

I think the colored shoe trend will and should stick around! I got married 2 weeks ago and I wore the brightest sunshine yellow shoes! I had no idea that I would have such a hard time finding them! I ended up having them dyed. They were perfect and the hubby wore matching argyle socks! It made for some great pictures!
I have a few pictures on my blog.

I am jumping on as well. I love the peek of color under the white dress! I am torn between choosing a cobalt blue shoe (something blue!) or a rose pink shoe (to go with the wedding colors). So far I have had the best luck looking at dyeable shoes - there are so many style options. Good luck finding the shoes you love!

I went to the store to buy “traditional” silver or white shoes to match my white gown. I came out with 3 1/2″ black satin Steve Madden’s with a ruffle detail across the peep toe. A few people have questioned the black but I love the contrast and that they are totally unexpected in relation to the rest of the “traditional” wedding and decor we have!
