About Mrs. Green Tea

Worthwhile

July 6th, 2009 @ 6:02 pm by Mrs. Green Tea

I’ve spent endless hours writing DIY posts that include everything from detailed instructions to downloadable templates (I know I’m slacking as of late, y’all, but I’ve got a good excuse!). Honestly though, even with plenty of your kind and wonderful feedback on my quirky creations, I often wonder if they are ever put to use.

Enter reader Almost Wea, who just made my friggin’ week. Check out her fabulous version of the centerpieces I designed for MOH-Ho! Woot! Thanks girl. Tou don’t know how much this means to a crafter who is sent 100 miles away from her tools for a whole summer!

Have you ever used a bee’s ideas for your own wedding? I’m sure they’d love to know!

I haven’t yet, but intend to do so. Starting with the Cricut for envelop liners and the DIY soap for the OOT guest bags!

Actually, for our invitations I used your MOH’s invitation as a jumping off point. Instead of an inner envelope, we wrapped the invite and inserts with a ribbon and round tags with the guest’s first names.

I’d love to hear if anyone has used other bees ideas as well! I am planning some for our at home reception!

Most definitely! I copied Mrs Perfume/Miss Mascara’s ring pillow, Miss Mascara’s outer envelope design, Mrs Eggplant’s bridal party newsletter, Mrs Daffodil’s timeline templates… and the list goes on! I may not use the exact idea of other Weddingbees (readers and bloggers), but for sure, I pull certain aspects of different ideas and morph it into something that’s more piglet-y. :D

That’s adorable! You’re a genius GT!

I’ve used Penguins boxed invites with Jelly Bellys, Strawberries STD with the caricature and I’m sure many other ideas stolen from the hive. I’m an idea thief ;)

I got the idea for the boxed invites and candy from Mrs. Gummibear, and like everyone else on the planet, used Mrs. Lemon’s Flickr upload instruction cards!

Aw, I got love!! Wheeeeeee!! Seriously, GT… I love you and your craftiness. When I saw your original post about MOH-Ho’s centerpieces, I gasped like all the air got sucked out of the room! Our party is in 10 days and I can’t wait to share the pictures with you and the rest of the hive! :D

Your post on the thread tea light covers came across just as I was struggling on what to do because I cannot have candles lit at my reception! I have made 50 of them out of black and red string and I would love to send you a picture..
