Let Me See Your Halo, Halo, Haloooo…

Hive, I have a lot of wedding stuff to write about, I really do. But it’s all pretty much starting later this week. So in honor of a certain song that’s been storming our radio stations as of late (and is hence, stuck in my head like whoa), I decided to share with you a massive collection of bookmarks I have related to the kind of ring that I love best: those that have a diamond “halo” of sorts around them. If you’re a “halo” girl like me, I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

I could go on, and on, and on. This is just a sliver of the collection of “halo” style rings I have in my arsenal of inspirations. I’d love to someday own a right-hand ring of the Tiffany Legacy style (like the first image up top (and others above), but with a Peridot center stone). [*cough* Mr. MJ. *hint-cough* birthday *cough* - kidding ] In all seriousness, I have a gorgeous halo ring of my own, and I couldn’t be happier:

I love the halo-style rings because they have a certain “vintage” flair to them. Though my ring is new, I often get asked if it’s an estate piece, or a family heirloom. It’s my hope that someday it will be a family heirloom. The setting style also really shows off the center stone, be it colored or white diamond. What sparkle-lovin’ girl’s going to complain about that?

I LOOOOOVE the halo setting! I’m so glad FI let me pick my ring so that I could get one (he’d never have thought of it on his own. ;)) And I am definitely insisting on a sapphire one on some later birthday. And of course the Tiffany is gorgeous…

I love the aquamarine with the squarish halo! I have a ring my husband bought me that’s a pink sapphire with a halo. I’ve already told him I want an aquamarine set in addition to my wedding rings now as my second wedding set. His grandma has five so this is not an unfamiliar idea to him. (Yay grandma!)

I love your ring! Mine is also a marquise but not as beautiful as yours Ms MJ!

Mine is just like the third to the last but a diamond! It’s funny, I am IN LOVE with the halo setting yet so many people look at my ring and go “that’s different.” Does anyone else get that?

I love eternity bands, half eternity bands, etc. =) Any kind of band that’s got three or more stones set in a row (sets of three are my favourite!). I like them both when the centre stone is a bit larger, and when they’re all the same size; I love them being different colours, or the same! ^.^ I didn’t even tell my fiance this, and he got me a ring with three stones set it a row. B-E-A-UTIFUL!

love the photos! my ring actually looks VERY similar to #3 and i just love it!! i had never heard of the “halo” before (blasphemy on a wedding blog, i suppose) but i just adore the look. and everyone thinks it’s more carat weight than it actually is, so i suppose that’s a plus ;o)

i was a big fan of the 3-stone rings until we went ring shopping. seeing them on my hand didn’t do much for either one of us, but then the jeweler slipped on a halo-style and we were BOTH in love. le sigh. lol

@allurex112: Mine’s flush fit - it fits under my e-ring so there’s no curve to the band. The two were a set. If you’re not wanting a flush fit, there are lots of wraps and bands that could work. If yours doesn’t have a “set” option or if you don’t like the one it has, you could probably get one custom-made! Talk to a jeweler- I bet they’ll have ideas!

I am a halo girl and did not want anything else. Not only does it shine and sparkle from all the diamonds it make my hefty diamond look a little more hefty, and which girl doesn’t want that!

I have never, ever thought about the ring I wanted until right before we got engaged. We went to a local jewelry store, and I immediately fell in love with a ring similar to the #3 ring above. We went to one other place, and I couldn’t even look at any other style. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It sparkles SO much. Besides constantly getting compliments on it, I spend much of my day staring at it….still. We got engaged in Feb. Good choice!

@lcneiny: I get that too- they tend to look bigger so you can get away with a smaller center stone with still a great visual impact! My halo is recently added to the gallery (one of just it, one of it and my pug) and I LOVE IT. I have two bands that are gently curved, they’re not meant to be with the ring but fit quite nicely.

I want a halo ring so badly! If I could get another ring, I would get a round stone with a halo. So. gorgoues. Someday I’m hoping for a right-hand ring with a circular peridot center stone and a diamond halo (holla for august birthdays! my birthstone is my favorite color too!)

I didn’t think I’d like a halo either until we went ring shopping! Now I love my ring… looks like #3, except the ‘halo’ stones are slightly larger so that the center stone combined with halo looks like a flower. I also thought about getting a square radiant center stone with a round halo, which looked pretty unique!

The ring on the apple is my engagement ring! It’s everything I have ever dreamed of, and it is absolutely spectacular. I was at Target yesterday grabbing something off the shelf, and the sweetest woman told me it was the prettiest ring she’s ever seen. Ahhhh, I LOVE halo rings!
