When we left off, I was starting to rethink the purple shoes. I started thinking they were a little too random when combined with all of the other carefully planned elements of our wedding. Instead, I started leaning towards more neutral colors, like nude or gray. The Dude’s suit is gray, and there will be accents of gray in the floral arrangement, so it will fit in a bit better. That said, I wouldn’t turn down an amazing pair of all black or black and white pumps.
I tried on these shoes from DSW, but despite the great clearance price, they were way too big and the heels were too high. I gave these pale gray Nicole Miller pumps a go as well, but they cut my ankles off in a horrible way, giving me the dreaded cankles! They were also waaaaay too high—they almost looked a little dominatrix-y on me!
And now for the front-runners: they’re also from DSW, and the brand is Seychelles.
I got an amazing deal on these by combining two coupons: $43 including shipping! I think they’re flattering and the gray color still matches the Dude’s striped socks! Bonus: the thicker heel will be much easier to walk on for our outdoor garden ceremony.

I really like these shoes, but I’m still open to suggestions.
So hive: have you seen any nude, gray, black, or black-and-white pumps and/or ankle-strap heels? I’d prefer the heel to be under 3.5 inches. Bonus points for nude shoes in a non-shiny material or for any eco-friendly finds!
