I just got notice that Rue La La will be opening their KitchenAid boutique this Wednesday, July 15! Rue La La is similar to Gilt Groupe, but features brands that are a little bit more “accessible”. You’ll usually see discount boutiques of brands that are featured at department stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s.

And what else did I see in the preview, but…

Ooh! Sometimes when I’m buying a wedding gift for a friend and notice that their KitchenAid mixer hasn’t been purchased off their registry and their showers have passed, I get a little bit sad for them. If you didn’t receive the mixer on your registry, or you want to buy one for a friend at a deep discount, Wednesday will be your chance!

They’ve got some really cute retro toasters, blenders, and kitchen gadgets in their preview, as well! I can’t wait to scope it out, and update our kitchen a bit! As with Gilt Groupe, it’s pretty competitive, so you have to log on right away when the sale starts to snag the goodies that you want at deep discounts! Good luck and happy shopping!

I saw that! I just hope they don’t take that sale down like they did a couple weeks ago with Williams Sonoma.

@Mrs. Ballet Flat: Really? Do you know why they did that? The other day when they had Calphalon the site had to be shut down bc of technicial difficulties.
I’ve got my reminders set!
I’m hoping they might have attachments on sale too!

@Gerbera: I have no idea! I was bummed about Calphalon too, because when it was officially up (according to email), some of the things I wanted were gone. Rue La La must have something against the foodies.

@BlushingBride530: It always varies, but it’s always pretty deep. The last dress I bought was $100, down from $360, and I always buy Mr. Penguin Penguin Brand clothing from there (Even before I was Mrs. Penguin!)… I’ve bought him a few cashmere sweaters that were $40-$50, down from $170 or so. With clothing, the discounts are usually 40-70 percent, but I’ve never shopped a kitchen sale before!

I wouldn’t have written about it if I didn’t care about the sale. I’ve been a member for over 2 years and haven’t mentioned it before (I mentioned it once in the boards during a post-a-thon). I buy a lot of clothes thru Rue La La, so thought people would like to share in the sales!
