Mrs. Cloud's Picture
Mrs. Cloud, Richmond Age and Occupation: 25, Sales Rep Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Customer Service Manager/DJ Engagement Date: February 14, 2008 Wedding Date: November 2009 Venue: Cathedral of the Sacred Heart & The Jefferson Hotel About Me: Mr. Cloud and I are Yankees planning a Southern wedding to show our families from Boston and New York our fabulous city. We are complete opposites, resulting in a wedding to include bridesmaids in pearls and groomsmen in Adidas shell toes. I’m a sorority girl at heart with strong addictions to my blackberry, cherry Chapstick, Coach purses, the Boston Red Sox and our fur baby, Bella. I can’t wait to the throw the party of our lives and of course, marry my best friend!
About Mrs. Cloud

I admit, I’m an emotional shopper. I have to not only be in the mood to really shop, but if things aren’t going my way, I let it get to me, and give up quickly. After my first stop at a bridal salon and only liking one dress, I was discouraged. I had poured over pictures in magazines and online, but then having some of those same gorgeous dresses on my body, I just wasn’t feeling the love.

(Okay Mr. Cloud, that’s your cue! Love you long time, but scram!)

MOH and I headed to the second salon (which shall remain nameless). I had an appointment, but the sales girls were all busy. I was told I could pull whatever I liked and was shown a room to change in. I have no pictures because I was less than impressed, yet again. A few had qualities I liked, a nice neckline here, a flattering detail there, but that first one was still in the back of my head. I ended the day empty handed and decided to wait a few weeks until Mama Cloud would be with me to brave the stores again. When she did come, we went back to the first store, Bella Rosa, to try a few on again. The first dress was up first again, and I don’t know if it was because I was feeling less overwhelmed and not coming off an emotional breakdown, or maybe it was that Mama Cloud had tears in her eyes agreeing with my decision. But this time, I knew it was the one.

The order was placed that day, and a few months later when both Mama Cloud and FMIL Cloud were in town, I got to go try her on! And I might be a little biased, but I really do think she is a beauty!

All images are courtesy of Mama Cloud, and since we didn’t remember to take one from the front of my whole body, or bother to tuck the hanger straps and tags in, here is a better picture from the Priscilla of Boston website:The Most Important Dress I’ll Ever Wear (Part 2) : wedding wedding dress Dress

Was anyone else as crazy (or lucky, maybe) as I was to buy the first dress you tried on?

Stunning!! P.O.B. is great! And the first pic is perfect - you can see more than one angle.

My dress was the 5th or 6th I tried on (out of 7 total) - but it was my first and last dress shopping trip. We went to Kleinfelds for my birthday because they had all the designers I wanted to see in one place lol

I just love it Miss Cloud! I am a sucker for the sweetheart neckline, and yours is especially gorgeous! (I bought the third dress I tried on :) )

Yup! Like you, the best dress came first. After that, the girls and I kept saying, “…it’s not as good as the first one…” And you’re right, sometimes you secondguess yourself in that case becuase you will forever be the girl who bought the first dress she tried on. What can you say? We have good intuition and style :-)

It wasn’t the first dress, but my first time! I found my dream dress at my first apt at the shop. I did create my dream custom dress based on it though.

Really, really pretty and so flattering. Love it!

And I tried on MANY a dress before I found the one…but I think that helped me know I’d found the one when I slipped it on :)

So beautiful!!!! :)

I had a similar experience; I was super stressed out the first time I tried my dress on, and the sales clerks were really rude and extremely mean. Because of those factors, I wasn’t sure about the dress. When I tried it on a month later (at a different salon where they were respectful and nice), I knew it was the one! It is so easy to become overwhelmed initially during the dress search!

Love your dress! You look great. While I didn’t buy the first dress I tried on, I did get my dress from the First store I went to (after going to several others I kept comming back to the “one”).

You look amazing in that dress! I just love sweetheart necklines. I bought my dress on my first shopping trip, at the first salon I went to. When you know, you know! :)
