About Mrs. Joey

And We’re Done…

July 21st, 2009 @ 1:34 pm by Mrs. Joey

… with the programs!

the front

the inside

the back

We used double stick tape to put the invites together and rounded the corners to give them a more finished look. To make it more personal, we each signed the back of every single program.

How did you give yorur programs that personal touch?

Very nice! I too like the hand signed look. Shows you took time for that small detail :) I think what I like most is the accordian style with the front and back extra covers. Looks great! It just give that folded paper look a little polish :)

Love that you signed them all. =) So sweet — your guests probably loved it!

Those programs are really pretty — I love the vertical text and the rounded corners just MAKE them. =)

Oh, WOW!!! these are awesome. If you dont mind me asking, roughly how much did each one end up costing and how long did it take you guys to put together each one. I need to make around 350 and want to make sure I have enough time before I start this.

Great Job!

@Aparna: So this sounds crazy, but the cost us about $0.13 to make. All the paper was leftover from other project and all I bought was a edge rounder ($6) and double stick tape ($5). We made about 80 of them. I’d say if we had to buy paper for this project, they’d come out to about $0.35 each. But I’m basing that on the type of paper I used.

Awesome! What kind of paper (size, weight, etc.) did you use for the insides and covers? Also, can you give more insight into what you wrote in the “Blessing” sections? I’m sure many Catholic brides would love to see your modern layout for this traditional information!

Our invites and favors were custom for each guest, but the program was the only generic thing! heh!

I’m having a DIY brian fart :) How excatly did you make these, was it just one long sheet of paper that you folded, or was it seperate sheets that you stuck together with the tape?

If it was one long sheet of paper, how did you round the corners so evenly?

I did sort of did a tutorial before. Check out this older post. I bought one of those cheap paper rounders at Jo-Anns.
