A Hawaiian Affair: Ceremony Details

July 22nd, 2009 @ 4:29 pm by Mrs. Sushi

While we were having our intimate “first look“, my bestie (and her fabulous hubby) worked diligently to put our ceremony site together. I felt a lil’ bad having our guests work on our wedding day, but that’s what best friends are for, right?! They did a wonderful job and if I haven’t told them yet, THANK YOU! Mwah!

2

Bestie Lauren being our wonderful ceremony decorator. :)

I didn’t talked about this, mainly because it was a last minute project and I just never got around to it, but I made custom water bottle labels and just placed them over the original water bottle labels. We provided transportation for our guests, so it wasn’t like they were able to leave after the ceremony to get a drink. So, we provided beverages for them. No dehydrated guests on our hands!

3

It was actually quite cool and cloudy on our wedding day, so our palm fans weren’t really needed. But, I was glad to have them, just in case.

4

We had a very flowerless wedding. Our “pew” decorations weren’t any different. It’s amazing what a paper lantern and ribbon can add to an aisle.

5

Very simplistic. Very us.

Everything looked gorgeous! I think you did just the right amount of decor as to not take away from the amazing setting. And, I love the water bottle labels—they look great!

The fans are beautiful! Your venue is so freaking gorgeous that you didn’t need a lot of extra decor. It would’ve been overkill. You did an amazing job of picking the right details to focus on.

@Curlysue: Your invite must’ve got lost in the mail. :)

@D.Marie: I actually scored the lanterns at Michaels; 78 cents a piece!

So maybe this is becoming a cliched comment from me — I hope not! — but I *love* the pops of color in these shots!

I was thinking about doing flowers along the aisle, but we’ve got this round/circle theme thing going on and I didn’t even think to use lanterns!
