Mrs. Poodle's Picture
Mrs. Poodle, Santiago, Chile/San Bernardino, CA Age and Occupation: 27, Industrial & Web Designer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Firefighter & Mountain Patrol Engagement Date: February 25, 2009 Wedding Date: January 2010 Venue: Mr. P's Grandparents’ Ranch About Me: I’m a Chilean girl who's crazy about nature and swimming. I enjoy carving, drawing, reading and sewing; I drool over computers, fabric, pretty paper, purple and patterns. To me, chocolate should be one of the seven wonders, right next to lemon pie. I never thought an exchange work experience program was going to change my life forever, but while working in California, I met Mr. Poodle, and ever since my days are better and brighter. We are two goofy souls that, after finding each other, couldn’t help but want to be together forever. It has being a long and sometimes hard road, since we have to deal with such a long distance between us, but we are now facing the last stage of our Fiancé Visa, and soon we will be together. You know the best part? We will be married! So I’ll be blogging from Chile until just a few months before our “green and purple” wedding.

Gimme Gimme Clay!

July 22nd, 2009 @ 9:22 am by Mrs. Poodle

Gimme Gimme Clay! : wedding crafts diy flowers Dsc006004

I’m officially in love with CLAY! I just started to play with clay, and even though I haven’t had much time to practice, I wanted to share with the hive what I’ve done so far:

Gimme Gimme Clay! : wedding crafts diy flowers 100 399

This is the best I could do with my camera phone, so until I can fix my camera, sadly the real detail work isn’t visible.

I’m not a big fan of roses, but I love lilies!! But in this case after making both in clay, I found out that my lily clay skills are… um… NOT good. But I’m really satisfied with the way my roses are turning out.

I’m learning to love roses! So, I’m planning to give birth to a lot of baby roses soon! And of course, I’ll share the process so all you can make them, too! smile08

Gimme Gimme Clay! : wedding crafts diy flowers 100 400

On this one you can see all the different kinds of flowers I’ve tried. Of course, none of them are fully done.

Gimme Gimme Clay! : wedding crafts diy flowers Sad01 sad01 They are purple, green, and white.

Of course, these are not the only kinds of flowers I’ll have in my bouquet. I’m planning on having more, but for now I’ll focus just on the roses! smile08

I also wanted to show you all a sneak peek of the things I’m working on right now:

Remember the plastic bottoms I showed you all a while ago? I found this new mineral water here in Chile that has purple bottles, so I’ve been drinking that nonstop…

… so I can make these:

How soon before the wedding did you start to work on your DIY projects?

I love the little white flowers with purple centers. They are simply adorable. ^_^ I’m not a fan of roses either, but I’m learning to like them too because they turn out so nice when made with crepe paper and coffee filters!
