For the Love of Etsy, Part 2

July 24th, 2009 @ 5:09 pm by Mrs. Sunbeam

Part 1

Here are some more Etsy bookmarks to share! Seriously, the bookmark folder is getting out of control. Again, all photos are from the seller’s site unless noted otherwise.

Bonzie

Hand makes really cute boleros and wraps, and is so sassy! Though she is no longer doing custom pieces, probably due to her success, I am sure I could survive with one of her ’regular’ pieces if September ends up being cool. Fingers crossed for warm weather, everyone!

Bridget Davies

Makes really cute embroidered handbags, passport cases, and pillows. Could be a nice bridesmaid’s gift, especially if she would customize them for you.

Oh so suite

You can find a lot of people making wedding invites on Etsy: custom, Goccoed, or otherwise. I personally didn’t see any that spoke to me, so I’d go the custom route, but I did see this set that I thought was unique with a tri-fold design and vintage feel. You can definitely SAVE on invites on Etsy and with other smaller printing entrepreneurs.

Tickled Pink’s Knits

This could be a nice option to keep me warm our wedding day. It seems more versatile than the bolero, since you could dress it down, and wear it later with a winter coat. It’s kinda pricey, so if you have any friends that are master knitters, maybe you could hit them up first.

singleBbeautiful

Now that I see the name, I wonder if it’s a good place to get wedding rings after all! Well whatever, I’ve been looking around for a unique wedding band and thought this jeweler on Etsy had some nice pieces. In fact, one of my friends has an e-ring very similar to this one from Etsy!

Sea Babe Jewelry

Also makes some nice textured bands…

Pom Love

I saw a wedding online and loved loved loved her poms and she told me this is where she got them. I’m going the DIY route, but it’s not as easy as it looks! Budgeting for these would have been great! They are so light and fluffy, and big!

Thanks for sharing! I loved working with Peterene (who designed our four toss garters). I also ordered (but have yet to blog about) my ceremony veil from Honeycomb Veils, and it’s amazing!

etsy folder is way out of control. i’m also wondering if there is ever going to be a limit on the amount of items i’m allowed to favorite! i love that people like you showcase certain items, though. we’d never find them otherwise.

Wow, some amazing finds! I loooove Etsy. I’m loving singleBbeautiful’s gorgeous jewelry. I think I’m ordering their Double Raindrop earrings as a Christmas pressie for my sister!

I have a ton of love for all my etsy peeps but to name a few:
Bridalbling- was so awesome to work for, Debi listened to exactly what I wanted and she delivered just that, a beautiful pearl bracelet exactly to my liking.

As far as feather/flower accessories look no further than StarzSelection. Kara is so wonderful to work with and her work is absolutely breathtaking. I also got my flowergirls handmade headbands from her also and I sent her color swatches and she matched them exactly!

As far as unity of memorial candles go make sure you check out DomesticDivasFancy. Ashley is so easy to work with and super fast turn around!

Plus I got hand written thank you notes and wishing me luck for my wedding from each seller.

A few of my favorites who came through for my wedding:

LuluArabella: She created a gorgeous custom bracelet for my wedding that I could not be happier with. Check out her shop, she has gorgeous stuff!

Egokitten: My husband’s ring came from her shop — cast from an octopus tentacle. So perfect. Love it!

We don’t have the equivalent of Etsy in South Africa, and it costs a LOT to order from the USa and have it delivered to Africa It sucks. Big time! :(

I bought my wedding ring from singleBbeautiful and love it! It’s a recycled white-gold band with 3 conflict-free diamonds. I love that the ring was MUCH less expensive than other recycled gold, or conflict-free, ethical rings out there. She can custom make stuff, too. Here’s mine:

I’m liking this one too.
