Mrs. Poodle's Picture
Mrs. Poodle, Santiago, Chile/San Bernardino, CA Age and Occupation: 27, Industrial & Web Designer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Firefighter & Mountain Patrol Engagement Date: February 25, 2009 Wedding Date: January 2010 Venue: Mr. P's Grandparents’ Ranch About Me: I’m a Chilean girl who's crazy about nature and swimming. I enjoy carving, drawing, reading and sewing; I drool over computers, fabric, pretty paper, purple and patterns. To me, chocolate should be one of the seven wonders, right next to lemon pie. I never thought an exchange work experience program was going to change my life forever, but while working in California, I met Mr. Poodle, and ever since my days are better and brighter. We are two goofy souls that, after finding each other, couldn’t help but want to be together forever. It has being a long and sometimes hard road, since we have to deal with such a long distance between us, but we are now facing the last stage of our Fiancé Visa, and soon we will be together. You know the best part? We will be married! So I’ll be blogging from Chile until just a few months before our “green and purple” wedding.

Purple My Feet

July 27th, 2009 @ 3:26 pm by Mrs. Poodle

Not many of you know, but a week after Mr. Poodle and I got engaged, I found some cute little purple shoes for 60% off, so I bought them!!! They look close to this shoe:

But I also drooled over these others at the time, too:

But, now we know our wedding will be in January! Um… winter! And let me tell you I can handle being light on clothes so I can show off the top part of my dress, but I just can’t handle my feet being cold. It’s a HUGE deal to me. If my feet feel cold, I get cranky. And of course, I don’t want to be cranky on my wedding day! smile04

I feel tempted all over again, and I’ve been thinking about comfy boots: PURPLE boots! Oh my! I love boots! So my search for the perfect purple boots began. smile04

Sadly, I’m having such a hard time trying to find cute cowboy boots in color. So far, this is all I’ve found. Purple My Feet : wedding shoes Sad01 sad01

I know I still have 6 months to search around, but I wish I could have them now! hehe

Have you changed your mind about something you’ve already bought for your wedding and now want something completely different?

I’m trying REALLY, REALLY hard to find colored shoes! I need an apple green, but I also have certain things I want- peep toe, something around the ankle/top of foot so they stay on better, and not a huge heel. So my 8 months I have to search seems like maybe not enough time since I’m having just as hard of a time as you are finding boots! GL!!!

These might be too busy for your taste, but just thought I’d share them with you :) http://www.zappos.com/product/7553644/color/11421

My main color is purple too, so I have my eye out for all things in the violet side of the spectrum. I’m wearing a pair of kitten heel purple Campers that I have had for a few years so they are already broken in and comfy!

Ummm… we changed just about everything back in March! Color scheme, theme, date (we moved our date up from January 2010 to August 2009!!), just about everything… and I can honestly say I AM SO MUCH HAPPIER with everything now. You have to go with what you really want, whether it’s the entire feel and look of your wedding or a pair of kick-butt purple cowboy boots. :)

Those green boots are awesome!! I actually just changed my dress, I finally found what i wanted originally (lace, fitted, with thicker straps) and am waiting very patiently until it comes in the mail!! I’m really hoping that it will look as good as I think it will, but I always have my first dress to fall back on

you should go with uggs. they will keep your feet nice and toasty.

But isn’t your wedding in California? I can’t imagine it being too cold there. I bet there won’t even be snow on the ground!

here are some cute purple boots:

the link should lead you to a pic of purple boots. sorry, i don’t know how to post pics.

now that fall is coming up, you should find lots of cute purple boots. maybe your honey can get them shipped to his place? unfortunately, you may not be able to try them on. but, there are some places that you can return anytime (if unworn). i think nordstrom’s (the above link) is one of those places. just double check.

good luck! and i’ll post more if i come across any others.

Have you thought about going to a boot warehouse store in southern california when you get there? There’s a big one just south of santa barbara!
you could try one of these places -

(but I’m sure there will be similar stores in san bernadino ;) )

Love the idea! Is your reception inside? If so, and if it’s warm enough, maybe you could wear the heels for some fun photos too so they don’t go unused. Or you could wear them the night of your first nice dinner out on your honeymoon?!

Those are pretty purple shoes. Hey, be a 2-shoe bride. They will look cute for the pictures. Maybe the heels for the ceremony and boots for the reception.
