I’ll admit it: I’ve compiled a lot of DIY “junk” over the course of the past couple years, so I thought I’d take the time to share a few of my favorite places on the web to get the goods.
Paper Mart - A GREAT place to get packaging, and get it in BULK. Wrapping paper, boxes (think gable, OOT bags/boxes, favor boxes, jewelry boxes for boxed invites), tissue paper, ribbon - they’ve got it all, and my experience with the quality has always been great. I used to work for a high end baby gift shop to the stars in college, and my boss got all her supplies here. I’ve never since strayed.
HJK Imports - This is where I go for bulk vases. They’re located in SF, so West Coasters benefit from relatively cheap shipping prices (considering how large the packages of vases are).
iDIY - Wedding freebies. This amazing blog not only showcases great DIY projects, but also finds the best vectors, fonts, images, and DIY wedding freebies and shares them with the world, so you can create your own great DIY projects. I love it!
PaperSource - I feel stupid for even saying this out loud, because everyone loves PaperSource. It’s by far NOT the cheapest option out there, but ease of coordinating papers and quality make it my go to place for paper. Plus, I live 2 blocks from one, so I don’t have to deal with shipping.
PrintAddict - The BEST source for Gocco ink colors. She carries the widest range of colors that I’ve seen out there, including some discontinued colors… although I think I bought her out of Pastel Grey last year.
American Coaster Company - I got 1000 blank pulpboard coasters here for under $20. The trick is that you have to call them to place the order, as (at the time I purchased) I didn’t see an option to buy blanks on the site.
CricutExpress - The service and prices here are exceptional. I’ve ordered from them several times (the first time being my initial Cricut Expressions purchase) and they ship THE SAME DAY you order. Michaels’ in store stock for Cricut products always sucks big time in my area, and CricutExpress has the most incredible turnover time over any company I’ve ever ordered from.
SaveOnCrafts - A great resource for craft products, in particular for me, Xyron refills. Their decor items (like vases) don’t have the best prices, though.
Weddingbee’s DIY section - Have you checked it out lately? Find all the bees’ past DIY projects and how-tos, along with hive members’ DIY projects, too! Upload your own templates, or grab some for whatever project you’re currently working on. Weeeehooo!
… That’s all I can think of now! I love all these companies and don’t hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know. What’s your favorite source for DIY supplies and products?
