About Mrs. Peep Toe

It’s finally time to show you a few other last minute details that tied everything together.

First up, my Goodwill frame project. Much like the fabu Miss Mouse and the newly crowned Mrs. Joey, I purchased some frames at Goodwill and spray painted them a nice green color.

Here they are from the store:

Here is how I used them:

A drink menu for our “Signature” drinks:

A polite note to get guests to sign the guestbook:

A list of all the amazingly delicious cupcakes that we served:

And my favorite DIY frame project, a frame for the escort cards. Recognize the paper? It’s the envelope lining from our invites.

Here it is:

And here it is in mock form. So sorry for the awful picture quality:

Oh, and I almost forgot, our card box. I took this basket that I got on clearance at Christmas for $3.99:

I removed the metal bow, spray painted it, and added our own bow, so it looked like this:

So there you have it. My final frenzy of DIY projects that really made the whole event POP. And I really liked that they were clean, simple, and modern touches. You can tell from the pictures that close up they aren’t perfect, but honestly, no one really looked that close.

Other than the escort cards and tying the bows on the chocolates, these little touches were so freakin’ easy, and VERY popular during the wedding.

What theme or inspiration did you use to tie it all together?

These are rad! Seriously, I love me some thrifting and crafting, but I don’t know if I could have seen the potential gems under those frames and that basket! Well done indeed!

Thanks for the tips–I need to come up with some signage for my wedding, and this looks easy enough for me! You know what’s funny? At first I thought the “before” picture of your card box was the way you had it at your wedding–I was like, “hmm, interesting shade of green.” Hehe. The “after” pictures is really cute. Thanks for sharing!

I am thinking of using peacock feathers as a tying theme since my MOH’s family owns a bunch so they would be free!

Loving the frame usage. I like how they are all slightly different, but matching too!

I like how clean and simple you kept each project. I am trying to do similar things with hardcover books in my centerpieces. Also, I think I am also going to use larger frames like you did for your escort cards. Can you tell me how big that frame was and how many cards it held? Did you make any others or just use the one?
