Living on the West Coast and having a wedding on the East Coast gives my bridesmaids double duty when it comes to planning bridal showers! Of course, a single shower would have been just fine, but since my MOH lives on the West Coast, and the rest of my ’maids life on the east, both parties wanted to throw a shower, and how could I say no to that!?

After celebrating a baby shower at work, Mr. Sunbeam and I headed over to his Aunt’s house for dinner. Little did I know that I would be walking right into our Jack & Jill shower!
To top it off, two of my ’maids from the East Coast had flown out - something I never imagined happening. Sadly, Mr. Sunbeam forgot his camera, and I didn’t think to ask anyone to capture specific things like the decorations and the gift opening! There is a picture of me giving Mr. Sunbeam the - youuuu are sooo sneaaaky! - face and receiving one of our favorite gifts…

Wine! I cracked that baby open a few days later!

The shower was amazing! I will say I might not have been the best gift opener, though. I wasn’t thinking about showing the gift off or announcing what it was…*awkward*… but like the good friends they are, they bared with me. After a fabulous shower, I was surprised again! The girls stayed the night, and the following morning, whisked me off to wine country to take a tour and do taste. On to the tour bus!

Slurp slurp. Tasty!

Bride among the barrels!
After a day tasting we got off the tour bus, changed, went out for some dinner and hit the town to see if anything exciting was going on. Unfortunately, Napa Valley is kinda sleepy at night, but we did find a bar with some jazz and had a final bottle of bubbles to top off the day. The whole weekend was just above and beyond. I never imagined my East Coast ’maids would come to my West Coast shower or that they’d turn it into a ladies weekend! Even thinking about it now I feel elated and sunny… hehe. Here are the lovely ’maids that made it happen!

My East Coast shower is not going to be a surprise; it’s coming up next weekend! I have to fly in, so how surprised can I be. Also we have official bachelorette plans the Thursday before our wedding, so I’m really seeing double!
Are you a multiple shower bride? Where you surprised, or hope to be, for your shower(s) or did you know it was coming??
