Mrs. Peep Toe's Picture
Mrs. Peep Toe, San Francisco Age and Occupation: 29, Policy Analyst Fiance's Age and Occupation: 36, Olive Oil Production Manager Engagement Date: December 16, 2007 Wedding Date: May, 2009 Blogging Since: November 26, 2008 Venue: Hotel Vitale About Me: I am a west coast lady who loves the San Francisco Bay Area. I love living with Mr. Peep and our animals: Huck the Dog and Ferris the Cat. I work to save the environment in San Francisco, while Mr. Peep makes ridiculously delicious Olive Oil. On any day you can find me reading the latest book I have gotten my hands on, eating Swedish Fish, and perusing wedding blogs! We are both champagne drinking foodies on a Bud Light budget. We are planning an eco-chic, intimate, and interfaith San Francisco City wedding.
About Mrs. Peep Toe

After my bridal glow moment, it was so fun to go to the hotel and see that a lot of our family and bridal party had already started to swarm the hotel.

With 90% of our guests being out of towners, a lot of folks decided to make it a four day weekend. So I decided (rather, Mama Peep Toe told me) that we needed to organize dinner for Thursday night.

Goal: casual, close by, and kid friendly.

Solution: Taylor’s Automatic Refresher for burgers and beers.

My ability to organize was running out of steam, so I just told everyone to be there at 7PM, and I guaranteed a good time—and if they didn’t have a good time, at least they’d have some ridiculously fabulous curly fries!!

Who can resist with an offer like that??

Taylor’s is only two blocks from the hotel, so when 7PM rolled around, I grabbed my two bridesmaid and we walked over:

It was heartwarming to be with all of our family, and Taylor’s was a perfect choice because everyone could pony up to the counter, order what they liked, and chow down.

I told you the fries were good. Even my niece loved her burger and fries:

Everyone was so excited to be there; we took over most of the restaurant and we hung out long after we finished eating:

It was the perfect chance for the boys to get good boy time in:

While I relished hanging with my niece:

We even got a frame-worthy pic of Mr. Peep and his best man:

And finally, it was time to head back to the hotel for a few drinks. Well, not all of us went to the hotel bar:

It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. With my bridal glow in hand, I was seriously feeling the love of our family and friends. Finally, I gazed at Mr. Peep and told him that it was time to call it a night, as we had a whole weekend of spectacular events awaiting us…

Up next, we rehearse…

One more thing: thanks to Mama Peep for all the fabulous pictures!

We actually skipped on the rehersal dinner portion which FMIL wanted to contribute to and decided we would do a welcome cocktail mixer the night before the wedding for out of town guests at an upscale loungy/bar private room near the recommend hotels. We are spltting the cost with FMIL - Aside from my immediate family (parents & sisters) everyone attending mixer is strictly out of town guests - it would also make the mingling easier on wedding night so we can hanfg with them before the wedding!

We are hitting up a Mai Tai bar. Since we are doing a DW almost all of the guest are OOT. So we figured it would be a good way to mingle before the big day.

Mmmm burgers and curly fries sound SO good! I wish we could organize something with everyone before like that, but Mr Frenchie and I are probably going out with some friends the day after the wedding.

I LOVE Taylor’s - it’s my Friday treat (my office is 3 blocks away). Their sweet potato fries are delicious! What a cute place for a kick off!
