We recently managed to haggle the paper place to exchange our 300 gsm unprintable paper that we’d bought a few months ago for something more printer friendly. The paper we ended up with wasn’t as great, but it’s down to the line now and we need to get moving on our invitations as soon as possible.Today I printed the Marie Antoinette inspired shower invitations (realising it’s already a bit late to mail them so I’ll have to hand deliver them). They turned out really well and I’m really looking forward to working on the main invitations. It’s quite something to see your designs in print form. I only wish I had a better camera to photograph them with.
Here is a bit of the DIY process. If you’re interested in the handwritten font (I chose it for its fountain pen look) its called “Jellyka Saint-Andrew’s Queen”, which you can download for free here at dafont.com
Did you go with an ultra girly theme for your shower paper products? What did they look like?

About Me: I'm a young American living abroad in the beautiful city of Cape Town with a wonderful South African fiance and our crazy kitty Zeus. We're young, driven and madly in love. Together we're pursuing our wildest dreams including our biggest undertaking yet, a vintage retrospective wedding filled to the brim with DIY madness. I have an unnatural attraction to cake, a passion for blogging and a love of good design. While I might be an overly obsessive creative with too many ideas and nowhere to put them, Mr Lightning is my biggest fan and I can't wait to make my true love mine.
