About Mrs. Lemonade

Love, Texas Style: Post Ceremony Formalities : wedding pictures pro pics recap F9n720

Our processional path lead us straight into the living room of the country club where we were able to breathe a collective sigh of relief. We took a few moments to regroup with our best friends (and show off the new bling!).

Love, Texas Style: Post Ceremony Formalities : wedding pictures pro pics recap F9n696 However, we didn’t have much time to rest. Our guests were already enjoying cocktail hour (jealous) and we were needed back on the course to shoot a few (hundred) formal photos.

We were less than thrilled to be missing out on all the fun, and poor Karen and Winfield had a hell of a time getting us to focus.

And it wasn’t just our friends they were having to deal with…

We eventually got it together and were able to knock out groupings of every different bride-groom-family member-combination you can think of. There’s even a few where we’re all looking at the same camera.

Once satisfied that I had posed with every relative I ever had, we were released and made a beeline for the patio where cocktail hour was already in full swing.

Err… not so fast, bride.

Before I could join the party my girls whisked me away to get bustled up. Thankfully Becky brought the party to me by handing me a glass of pinot on my way back to the boardroom.

All bustled up and ready to go, it was time enjoy the cocktail hour!

I love the shot of everyone hard at work on your bustle — and you’re just nonchalantly sipping wine! ;-)

i felt the same as you…it was SO hard not to mingle with guests while we were getting our photos taken. I’m sure once I see the photos, I won’t regret the time we spent, but both hubs and i were just itching to get back to our friends and a good glass of wine!!

I’m worried about missing cocktail hour!! Right now we’re thinking about putting enough time in between the reception and the cocktail hour so we can at least catch the tail end of it instead of missing the whole thing!!

Oh wow, I adore the picture of you “making a beeline” to the cocktail hour. The lighting is gorgeous, and that shot shows just how freaking beautiful your dress and veil is!
