Wool?

The Bride Wore... Wool? : wedding wedding dress 1 wool dress 2

I saw this wedding this morning featured at Craftzine.com. The Bride and Groom are sheepherders. Apparently, his waistcoat is made from the same wool as her dress.

Very creative. I saw this when I was surfing the web the other day. Interesting, although…How freaking hot must that dress be???

I saw this and thought her dress was really creative and cool. Yikes, she must have been warm though!

Really neat but like BunnyBlue: I would be itching and also burning up at the same time!

Wow. It’s so intricate, but just looking at it makes me itch.

What I loved about this dress is that it’s SO personal! She raises and breeds the sheep. She even used wool from her FAVORITE sheep! So sweet…. even if the thought of it does make me itch!

ooo.. if only companies like smartwool or ibex or icebreaker would make a wedding dress - I’d buy it in a second!
Wool can be SOOOO comfortable, if made right. I’m actually wearing all wool right now :) (yay for smartwool!)
too bad she didn’t actually weave the fibers into a cloth. I bet the loose roving like that did actually feel hot & itchy :-/

This is the perfect dress for a sheepherder. Obviously it’s not your typical dress but it sure fits this couple. The picture of the bride with the sheep is priceless!

That’s so cute! Not for most, but perfect for them! And that’s what weddings are all about (besides the marriage, of course). :)

Her dress actually is very pretty, and he looks very dapper. I just wonder if she is very hot. :)

I especially like her dress in the last shot, away from the sheep. Thanks for sharing!
