::::peeking out from my nest::::

I know I’ve been a bad little birdy and I’m so sorry! Things have been pretty busy around the Lovebird nest and I’m finally coming up for some air. Mr. Lovebird’s on call tonight so I finally have a chance to blog! Oh Weddingbee, how I’ve missed you!

******************************************
Now where were we? Oh yes…

So after the blooper that occurred in my previous post, it was pretty much smooth sailing from there.

I got my bling.

He got his.

Sealed with a kiss.

Finally, nan and wife!

z20026203

Remember ladies, don’t keep looking down like I did!

Our lovely bridal party…

One thing I’ve always loved about destination weddings are the uninvited guests!

These strangers looked like they enjoyed our wedding, didn’t they?

The ceremony literally flew by! Well, considering it was less than 15 minutes from processional to recessional, that’s not too surprising, right? It felt just right for us, but I was shocked to actually find out how short it was when I watched the video. That’s a pretty short wedding ceremony, right?

How long are you planning your wedding ceremony to be? How long were the longest and shortest wedding ceremonies you’ve attended?

Love your photos–the setting looks just beautiful and so do you! The shortest wedding I’ve been to was my best friend and her husband’s wedding. They started 45 minutes late in a church with no air conditioning (it was like 98 degrees), so the pastor did the whole wedding in under 15 minutes. It was almost too fast. When we planned ours, we planned for a half hour, because we didn’t want it to drag on, but also didn’t want to feel rushed through it.

wow! fabulous pictures! most of the weddings i’ve been to this summer have been about 30 minute ceremonies, unlike last summer where the average was over an hour… yikes! since ours will be outside, we’re thinking it will be between 15-30 minutes.

That’s really lovely, people just are happy to see weddings, they can’t help it. Just a little extra love for you two though, no harm.

I want my ceremony to be longer for several reasons not the least of which was that I wanted our guests to understand what what our commitment to each other meant, what marriage is, and that we would need the help and encouragement of our friends and family to make it work.

but short and sweet can be just as nice! I’m glad it worked for you.

That’s a pretty good length for a ceremony. I went to one wedding that was 8 minutes long!

The shortest: 25 minutes, I think it was the perfect length!

The longest an hour and a half catholic ceremony…a close second was the hour ad 15 minute episcopalian ceremony.

I think 15 minutes seems a little quick, but I only anticipate ours to be 25 mins. I have always felt like ceremonies lasting more than an hour were very drawn out, but to each his own.
