Once properly bustled, I quickly reapplied a bit of gloss and headed out the door to enjoy the last bit of the cocktail hour with our guests.

We had areas set up both indoors and out, providing plenty of room for friends and family to roam about.
I was delighted to see that the mini drink umbrellas I had spent far too long on were actually being used!
I didn’t get a chance to sample any of the tasty appetizers that were being passed about but I did catch a glimpse of one of the crazy fruit “sculptures” that made their way onto a table or two.
Outside of the ridiculous fruit, we kept the decor pretty simple. We opted for champagne colored satin linens covering highboy tables and topped with baby’s breath bombs and a smattering of petals, courtesy of our fantastic florist, Erin.
The mister and I were having a blast chatting it up with our guests and indulging in a beverage (or two…).
Time flies at a wedding (especially your own!) and it felt like just as we had arrived at the party we were being ferried away. Not that we minded too much, for this time Becky was ushering us into the ballroom for our “first look” — at the reception setup!
