Lovely Lacy Details

August 25th, 2009 @ 6:14 pm by Mrs. Sunbeam

If I had a few more months to go and a few hundred dollars to blow, I’d be decking our wedding out in lace. Over the past few months I’ve seen a lot of lacy little details here and there, and keep imagining how much I want to have them! I mean, decorations centered around my lace dress!? What’s not to love?!

How about a lacy accessory for the ’maids? If I hadn’t given my BMs free range to pick their dresses, I might have said, “make sure you can wear this necklace with your dress!” because I love it.

Sugary Lace?

How about a lacy little favor bag?

I could actually attempt to make lace boutonnieres like these.

I am definitely adding some lace to my bouquet wrap!

source

Ooo, a lacy centerpiece!

source

Ahhk! I think that last one just hit my to do list.

Have you been inspired by your dress, lace or otherwise? Do you have any lacy details incorporated into your wedding?

@fiftyfootbride: Agreeeed. I gasped when I saw it!

I doubt any bakery around here could recreate it, though.

I am a lace fan too! I want my dress to have lace and I am going to have lace on my candle holders.

That necklace is to-die-for. I hadn’t planned on incorporating lace, but I might just have to reconsider!

My dress was lacy too. I thought for a while about collecting vintage lace at antique stores and sewing them into runners to give a vintage edge for my tables. I love lace!

I have fallen in love with lace details lately, too! Too bad it TOTALLY doesn’t fit with the style we’ve got going!

Oh I love lace! I wanted to have a lace overlay on my dress, but didn’t find one. I’ll definitely be incorporating lace into the decor, but I’m not sure how yet. And I love love love that necklace!!

I absolutely love that necklace!! It is so pretty. My dress is lace too, but I hadn’t really thought to bring it in anywhere else because I’m really not a lacy kind of girl. But I do like the idea of having lace around the bouquet.

That cake is gorgeous! And yes, I am bringing in some touches of lace to add a soft, vintage texture to other details (favor bags, cocktail table centerpieces, ceremony aisle, etc.).

Oooh these lace details are all gorgeous… so romantic and airy. I especially love the cake and necklace, though!
And you should definitely give those boutonnieres a try!

I thought of you just now and thought I’d share. If you go on the Anthropology website, they have a beautiful and dainty lace necklace.

The necklace is absolutely fantastic! And that cake is pretty cool, too! I’m not a huge over-the-top-fancy cake girl but I think it’s just right! There are definitely ways you can incorporate lacy bits without a ton of extra money - like you said, the bouts would be cute … and the lacy centerpieces are fun!

yeah!! I wanted to add lace to the design of our wedding site/invites/and everything I could - at the end I choose to just add a fabric pattern to everything!! :)

That necklace is so ridiculously cool! I love lace (but I’m biased perhaps because my dress is lace?)!
