Mrs. Powder Puff, Chicago Age and Occupation: 25, Preschool Teacher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Career Services Engagement Date: May, 2008 Wedding Date: July, 2009 Blogging Since: November 12, 2008 Venue: Outdoor ceremony, banquet hall reception About Me: I am your typical Midwestern girl attempting to plan a sane, budget-friendly, fun wedding to the man of my dreams. I love shoes, laughing at “Platinum Weddings”, crafts, inspiration boards, candy, and basically anything I can DIY. While weddings can certainly be all-consuming, I honestly can’t wait until the ceremony is over and I can finally call Mr. Powder Puff my husband!
About Mrs. Powder Puff

After the cocktail hour was over, we sat everyone down and made our grand entrance. And it was grandly awesome, to say the least! Our bridal party took it upon themselves to organize hilarious, individual entrances.

Some went with a paparazzi theme…

Others chose something a bit more dramatic…

And some went for plain old fun…

However, when we entered, I needed DRAMA! LIGHTS! ALL EYES ON ME!!! So when our song came on (AC/DC “Shook Me All Night Long”), I waved my bouquet in the air like I just didn’t care, and danced my way into the room. Poor Mr. Powder Puff was just along for the crazy ride.

After shaking my thang on the dance floor with my “signature move” (you’ll DEFINITELY be seeing more of that later on), it was time to get down to the business of the first dance.

After an awkward moment standing on the dance floor waiting for our DJ to start the music, “More than Anyone” by Gavin DeGraw finally started to play, and we began to dance.

I looooved the twinkly lights in the ceiling over the dance floor!

We added in some twirls and flashy moves for good measure.

But mostly just cuddled up to one another.

so fun! Our bridal party did their thang coming into the reception, which totally surprised me, because I had surprised them with their entrance song! Love it!

@KaterTot214: LOL! We walked in to the first 30 seconds, so you didn’t get to many lyrics. ;)

@http://www.diytypebride.blogspot.com: The girls actually picked out their own dresses! I gave no input except they had to be knee length. All but the green one are from J.Crew.

Your bridesmaid dresses are adorable. Do you know where your girls got the dark blue and/or teal one? Sorry if you’ve already blogged about that before…
