Mrs. Frozen Yogurt's Picture
Mrs. Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.
About Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

The Ceremony and Reception Site : wedding venues Untitled 2 Untitled-2

When I walked into Marie Gabrielle I knew it was the place. *cue angels singing* It was absolutely gorgeous, and perfectly suited for the type of wedding we were hoping to have.

I’d always said I wanted it all to be very open and flowy; people moving from inside to outside with ease. Well, Marie Gabrielle has exactly that:

1.5 acres of European gardens with an absolutely gorgeous interior, too. AND they provide food, linens, alcohol, dishware, candles, chairs, tables, everything. I was sold! As you can see, I hardly need any decorations at all because the place itself is so gorgeous. I can’t wait!! EEEK!!

Was it love at first sight when you visited your venue? Or did you think you’d have to work hard to make it fit in with your overall vision?

Congrats on finding such an amazing venue! Ours was a diamond in the rough, and though we didn’t have to do much to dress up nature, we had a lot of work to do to hide porta-potties, kegs, and other equipment. We definitely gave up some things to make it work…

You’re lucky that yours comes just the way you like it!

That place is gorgeous! (wonder how I missed it on my DFW venue hunt) Can’t wait to see how your plans come together :)

I did fall in love with our venue when we step foot on the property. Originally on paper it was 2nd choice but as soon as I actually got to see it with my own eyes I knew the search was over.

Congrats on the venue! It looks amazing! It was definitely love at first site when I saw my view. I walked into the ballroom (a huge room with vast ceilings) and saw the floor to ceiling windows that created the back wall overlooking the river and thought I would die if I didn’t get married there!

@llc2011: The place is called DFW’s best kept secret, so it was just by chance that I found it. :)

What a gorgeous venue and how great that they include everything! Even before we got engaged, I knew we were going to use our venue. I fell in love with the building a while ago (in college) and knew the room would be perfect for us.

Well, I felt the same way about my venue: Pierre’s Restaurant in Islamorada, FL. It is this beautiful cottage that is on the beach. It needs practically no decor.

By the way, I felt the same way when I used to live in Dallas and saw Marie Gabrielle as well! :)
