Mrs. Chick, HoustonAge and Occupation: 28, Rights and Reproduction ManagerFiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Computer ProgrammerEngagement Date: November 15, 2008Wedding Date: April 2010Venue: A farm outside of HoustonAbout Me: Mr. Chick and I met almost ten years ago at Baker Blues, a college jazz party. He was attracted to my intensity, and I was mesmerized by his trivia pursuit skills and his dorm furniture adorned with his initials. We've grown more sophisticated through the years, with our love of wine, owning a house together, and parenthood (of a cat), but we have not lost our silliness or childish sense of humor!
You may remember my post earlier about wanting a Mad Men vibe for the groomsmen. Well, the much anticipated partnership between Banana Republic and Mad Men has finally arrived! The womenswear has some promising outfits. However, the men’s outfits are less than inspiring:
Sabrina & Eunice Moyle, San Francisco, CAVendor: Invitations & StationeryWebsite: Hello! LuckyAbout Me: We (sisters Eunice and Sabrina Moyle) started Hello!Lucky in 2003 out of Eunice's garage with a hand-cranked Vandercook printing press. Since then we've created whimsical stationery and greeting card designs for almost every occasion, including wedding invitations, save the dates, thank you notes, and a line of hilarious sock monkey cards! We love crafting, flea marketing, fashion, travel, and all things paper. We're based San Francisco with a studio in London, so we're immersed in design trends from around the world!
Another shout-out today to our talented intern Hillary Burgess for her DIY snap station, featured this week on Bride’s Cafe! (Hillary won their DIY contest a few weeks back - what a star!)

Fiance's Age and Occupation: 30, Television Production/WriterEngagement Date: December 24, 2008Wedding Date: September 2009Venue: The Marvimon HouseAbout Me: I'm a Bay Area native trying to create a life for myself (and my fiance, and our three cats!) in the vast city of Los Angeles. I love vegan red velvet cupcakes, pilates ,and mid-century furniture. Mr. Sprinkle and I met when my band toured through his city (we bonded over cake and a mutual love of Morrissey) and we are getting married on the four year anniversary of our first date. When I am not teaching preschool (or blogging!) you can find me perfecting recipes, petting kittens, hiking in Griffith Park, and overusing exclamation points. We are planning a vegan, green-as-possible, DIY wedding, and I couldn't be more excited to share all of the details!
It is still hard for me to tell people I am a blogger. In some circles that word has such a stigma, or it is totally misunderstood. A lot of people think a blog is just an online diary that you publish for the world to read, or an attention grabbing device! I like to think of blogging as more of a creative outlet, and a place to share ideas, learn new things, and meet new people.
Let’s go way back in time to… dun dun dun dun… the year… TWO THOUSAND!
In 2000 I first started blogging on LiveJournal, although I don’t think we started calling it ’blogging’ until 2001 or so. That was around the time I really got into blogs. I mostly read music stuff, and the blogs of various scenesters and party people in LA and NYC. While I knew I would never be the next ultragrrrl, I still had fun writing and exchanging comments with my friends.
Now, let’s fast forward to 2008. Mr. Sprinkle and I start talking about the big picture, and decided we would perhaps like to get married sometime soon! Then surprise, he proposed. Literally days later (19 days, to be exact) I started up a wedding blog. Originally, I just wanted a place to exchange ideas with other brides, and keep my family updated on what was going on.
I started off reading way too many wedding blogs. It was hard to keep up, and really frustrating to see so many blogs that seemed to only show super-high budget weddings. I finally fell into the groove of only reading Weddingbee and several blogs of other Los Angeles area brides. At the time, I would get really excited when there was a new post from Meatball, or Avocado, or Spring Roll! Those are the ladies that made me want to be a bee, too. So I thought long and hard about whether or not I had the time to dedicate to blogging, and then decided to go for it.
Mrs. Bruschetta, PhiladelphiaAge and Occupation: 25, Communication ProfessionalFiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Physical Therapy Graduate StudentEngagement Date: November 30, 2007Wedding Date: August 2009Venue: St. Thomas of Villanova Church & the F.U.E.L. HouseAbout Me: I’m a self-proclaimed grammar geek who loves singing (like, really belting it) in the car. My mister and I are planning a vibrant summer soiree celebrating our passions – including food and Philly – and when we make it official, we’ll have been together for eight years! Being super competitive is in my nature, and talking excessively is in my genes. I’ve got a terrible sense of direction, but can always easily find my way into Mr. Bruschetta’s arms.
Time has been significant for the Bruschettas. In 2001 when we officially acknowledged each other as boyfriend and girlfriend, six days separated what would become our dating anniversary from my high school graduation. For the next few years, our own routines kept us busy during the week — but weekends often meant visits, whether for movie dates or (more frequently) study dates. And in 2005 when I began grad school, months became the new marker, filling the time between my visits home to Philly or Mr. Bruschetta’s several treks up to Boston.
Clearly, patience has been pretty important, too. After the mister’s on-bended-knee and with-ring-box-in-hand moment, 638 days separated us from our wedding day. But today, the wait will finally end when I marry my best friend.
To the hive and my fellow bees: I’m eternally grateful for this opportunity to share the whirlwind journey that has been the last six months. I truly hope you’ve enjoyed following along at least half as much as I’ve enjoyed writing each post. (And since I still have much to share with you all — including surprises I didn’t want to reveal before the wedding, as well as details and reflections I shifted to the back burner as the end of August rapidly approached — rest assured I’ll remain a presence until you’ve heard our entire story!) I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.
When I walked into Marie Gabrielle I knew it was the place. *cue angels singing* It was absolutely gorgeous, and perfectly suited for the type of wedding we were hoping to have.
I’d always said I wanted it all to be very open and flowy; people moving from inside to outside with ease. Well, Marie Gabrielle has exactly that: Read more…

Mr. Cupcake and I are both old souls, and we hope to weave that aspect of our personalities into our wedding day.
Hey hive! I had so much fun the last time I did BeeTV that I decided to give it another go. Join me at 6:30 EST on Sunday night to talk weddings, DIY, and whatever else your little hearts desire. (Oh, and I’m sure my obsession with “So You Think You Can Dance” will come up once or twice.)

I plan on DIYing my little heart out (or as much as a suitcase to Jamaica will hold).
With portraits and cocktail hour complete, it was time to head to the tented deck to start the party! I was so lucky to have my friend Lisa introduce the bridal party for us. She knows everyone in the party… and can pronounce their sometimes complicated names. Thanks Lis!

Kimberly Canale, Brooklyn, NYVendor: Event DesignerWebsite: Inspired GoodnessAbout Me: From the moment the engagement ring was slipped onto my finger, I've been in love with all-things-wedding. I still get teary eyed reading proposal stories in magazines and love sneaking a peek at a bride and groom glancing at one another for the first time, as the ceremony is about to begin. With each of my clients, I get to know their personality, family background and hear the story of how they met and fell in love. Each piece becomes another element from which I use to build the overall vision for their wedding day.
As the Creative Director at Inspired Goodness, my job is to create the various details that makes each of our weddings come to life. My work incorporates classic elements; engraving, hand calligraphy and vintage typography. Using a mix of found objects and flea market pieces lends a rich history to my work and challenges me to find creative ways to use mass-produced elements, each with a chic and timeless result.
With every new client, I get to explore avenues I've yet to pass and love knowing that the next adventure is just around the corner!
I’ve got more great aspects of Shira and Loren’s wedding to share with you today, and I’m really excited to finally bring this element to everyone. It was one of my favorite projects for this wedding and has so much meaning behind it.
When I first met Shira, she told me the story how she and Loren met, on a Birthright trip to Israel.

I can't wait to share my adventures in DIY and wedding planning with all of you!
I’ll warn you ahead of time, this post is filled with lots of pictures of moi. Last Friday, I had my hair/makeup trial. Even though I had plenty of time to prep for this, I went in uncertain of exactly what I wanted. I showed Jeanie my inspiration pictures and after a few minutes of deliberating (and taking in to account factors such as the Texas humidity), I decided to go with an up-do.
Obligatory “before” picture sans makeup and hairstyle:
We really appreciate all of the amazing ideas you’ve shared with us to help make Weddingbee better! Recently we’ve implemented the following ideas:
Aliangel suggested that we create a place on the site that allows Weddingbee users to address questions they have about using the site, accounts, etc., without having to email customer service. We recently added the support forum and it’s been a big hit!
Mrs. Cupcake requested that we add links to the original post to all of the projects in the DIY section, because it may be helpful for DIYers to check out the original comments. So, now you can find links to the original post at the end of each DIY.
Naangel55 and budgetbeautiful asked if we could have a new section in the bios where people could share stories about parties, so the “events” category was recently created. Naangel55 also requested a rehearsal dinner section in the bios, so we added that, as well!
Ninthgirl suggested that because many readers are reading Weddingbee at work, it would be helpful if each post that was inappropriate to read at work had a little warning. Now, an editor’s note will be added at the top of any post that may be NSFW.
Keep those ideas for improving Weddingbee coming! We’ve received a number of great ideas recently. Take a look:

Sniffin’ out information
Growing up, I guess you could say that I was a different kind of child. When others my age were out playing and doing normal kid stuff, I could usually be found in my room, Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary in hand, looking things up. If it wasn’t the dictionary, it was the encyclopedia. If not that, then the huge collection of old GEO magazines that my dad had picked up for $5 at a yard sale. Bottom line, I was an inquisitive little thing.
I still have that red, cloth-covered dictionary. These days, though, I’m much more likely to Google something than reach for the bookshelf. So naturally, when Mr. Y and I got engaged in July 2008, one of the first things that I did was hop on the computer and start Googling like a mad woman. I seriously hadn’t the first idea of where to begin. Colors? Dress style? Favors? Unlike my younger sister, who had been picking and choosing details for her dream wedding since she was like, oh, five… I hadn’t a clue what I wanted. Nope, I was the kid slouched over the desk with her nose buried deep in a dusty old book. Read more…

Wedding Date: September 2009Venue: Ralston Hall MansionAbout Me: I'm a food-and-baking-obsessed, occasionally sword wielding Bay Area native who is quickly becoming overwhelmed with planning a wedding and opening a law practice at the same time. (Brilliant move, that one.) I love reading, online shopping, ice cream, my Macbook, Bollywood movies, hoodies, the UCLA Bruins, and of course, Mr. Dew Drop.
Back in April, Mr. DD and I had a week where we found ourselves completely over wedding planning. Note that I didn’t say completely over with wedding planning. We had just been working hard to knock a few wedding tasks off our ever-growing list, and this, coupled with work stress and moving (and a lot of swearing and vowing to hire professional movers next time), had us just plain worn out.
So, we broke out the wine. Actually,we broke out a lot of wine.
