Mr. AC’s Wedding Band

September 1st, 2009 @ 6:14 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

***A Post from Mr. Apple Cider on his wedding ring choice!***

I wanted my wedding band to be unique. I wanted the ring to be noticed.

Miss AC and I had been looking at all the typical jewelry stores, combing through all the online galleries, and I was never really sold on anything. Then a while ago, I read a post on Weddingbee (yes, I am the first to admit that I do follow Weddingbee) about shopping for rings on Etsy. Of course… why not? Why didn’t I think of that?

So, the search was on. I still had no idea what I was looking for, but I knew that I would “know it when I saw it”. And, I certainly did. I found the ring in the Etsy shop of Artisan Look. Their website is here.

There were so many rings that stood out, but when I saw this one, the search was over.

Mr. AC's Wedding Band : wedding rings Ring The ring is called “walk with me”. How perfect is that? I love all the symbolism you can pull from this ring. Miss AC and I love art, and we love supporting artists. This ring is different, unique, and most importantly, true handmade art. There are so many reasons that I love this ring, and I can’t wait for the day I put it on for good.

I love your post Mr. AC. I think most men let their wives pick something, then they approve it, & it’s a done deal. Love the ring–different w/o being too crazy. And “walk with me”-yes, perfect. I love supporting Etsy artists too. I gave my husband the chance to pick out something traditional or modern, but he chose to wear my father’s (I wear my mother’s). Only problem is it’s a little blingy and chach, but it was my dad’s (who he never had the chance to meet) & that means the world to me (gosh I’m tearing up like an a-hole!)

looove it! very original. My fiance has no idea what he wants - his fingers are skinny so things look very odd on him!

I love that MR. AC post. If I ever became a bee, I’m not sure my MR would be willing to post.

Anyway, he picked something a bit more traditional. He’s always working on cars so he wanted something that wouldn’t get messed up (that could withstand that type of action).

Whoa, my guy is looking at the same ring, he just wasn’t sure what it would look like in person, or on a hand. I’m definitely showing this to him, thanks for posting!

I think it speaks a lot about your character that you would take the time to pick out your ring. I glad that you found a ring that is truly meant for you. Thanks for posting. I like reading from a guys point of view.

I love groom posts! = ) What an awesome Band. My FI doesn’t want anything traditional, either. He wants something that’s interesting and catches the eye.

We decided last night to go with rings from Etsy (titaniumknights)- our first Etsy purchase ever. I bookmarked a bunch of various pages from all types of jewelry places, and funny enough our first choices are from the same Etsy seller! Not quite matching, but similar and from the same source.

That is going to be a very classic wedding band. I was just out shopping for a wedding band last night with my FI, but I think I’ll be going with something more traditional. Very nicely done on yours, though.
