About Mrs. Apple Cider

I loved the idea of making door hangers for our guests and have seen so many brides make some really great ones! I decided to give it a try. I found quite a few templates out there, but decided to tweak mine just a bit.

DIY Door Hangers - Do Not Disturb! : wedding decor diy favors Img 247 I have lots of leftover wood grain paper and want to carry that theme throughout the wedding. I decided to make a template and made each hanger 3.5″ by 8″. I was able to fit 3 on a page.

The design elements I included were:

  • Our bird on a limb image
  • The typical “Please Do Not Disturb”
  • I found an image that read “Thank you for sharing our wedding with us” - I can’t remember where this came from - if someone knows, please share!
  • Our bird

I then used my handy home “cheap” printer and am really happy with what came out.

Very cute! I think those little, thoughtful touches are what really makes each wedding unique.

Bonus - seems like a (relatively) simple project too!

I just realized that you were located in North Carolina! That is so exciting! I am in Mooresville, North Carolina. I wanted to have my wedding at a vineyard so bad I could taste it, but we had to settle for the Wine Loft because of the travel time! I love all you DIY stuff!

Love it! I’m definitely going to do this! And maybe a different sign for our room, we’ll all be staying at the same inn that night. Thanks for the inspiration :)

I was really considering these, but I have to know, did you hand cut ever door handle hole!? If so you are a brave lady, that’s what keeps scaring me off! They are super cute though, must not add more to do’s to list…!

Miss Cloud - if you design the hole to be the size of a 1 inch punch, you could just punch them out, right?

Well those awesome. I think we’ll definitely have to do that for our guests too. We’re going to put the standards in our OOT welcome packages: itinerary for the weekend, local places to shop and eat, list of things to do between the ceremony and reception and an invitation to brunch with the bridal party and newly weds the following morning!

Those look great! I just made a sign last night for the Bridal Suite, but hadn’t though about doing something for my guests. And that wood-grain paper looks better every time I see it, I really must figure out a way to include it in my wedding!

I have a question… Where did you get your graphics and fonts? Is there a place that a lot of bees use for that or places you recommend?
