Something Borrowed

September 3rd, 2009 @ 11:30 am by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

While reading one of my daily wedding blogs, Southern Weddings, I came across the most beautiful jewelry ever:

Something Borrowed : wedding jewelry 17 jewelry

Images from Avelle

I’m thinking this has to be so expensive, but I took a closer look. Turns out, the jewelry is from this website called Avelle and you can BORROW stuff.

How perfect! I seriously had no idea what I would do for my something borrowed, and now I potentially have it figured out. Yay!! As you might imagine, borrow is a euphemism for rent, but they were smart over at that website to say “borrow” instead. Now people like me will go there to get stuff for their weddings. Also, they have an entire category dedicated to items like the ones the characters from Sex and the City wore. I’m sold.

Have you had any experience with online “borrowing” or rental? Which piece of jewelery from the collage above do you like best?

I haven’t borrowed anything online, but I think this is a great idea. What a cool way to get fantastic jewelery AND to fulfill your “something borrowed”. I totally love that rose cocktail ring!

Very fun!!! It’s like the website from Sex and the City Movie, http://www.bagborroworsteal.com They also have jewelry you can borrow on there as well. Let us know what you come up with.

What a neat idea! I haven’t ever borrowed or rented from a website but that is definitely a very creative way to check off the “something borrowed” as well as save $!

I saw something similar on theknot as well, they had a giveaway from Adorn; unfortunately, I didn’t win, but I definitely was intrigued at the concept:

Thanks for sharing!

I’ve done bags from Bag Borrow or Steal but never jewlery… definately something I at one point considered for the wedding. But about a month ago one of my good friend got married and she informed me that all of her AMAZING jewelery her jeweler for their wedding rings let her borrow! What a fabulous idea, I sent an email to my jeweler that designed my ring and he said he would see some items he could put together for me to come look at before the wedding! So I’m really excited about that, having a bunch of diamonds… it will be like the celebs do for the Oscars! :) lol
