About Mrs. Espresso

Weekend Mountain Wedding: The Dress Comes On : wedding pictures pro pics recap Img 48101 My makeup and hair were done. Now the only thing left to do was slip on my dress. A monumental and strange moment, all in the same. I’m putting on the dress that I’ll marry my husband in. The dress I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole until the day of our wedding in fear that I would damage it, spill on it, catch it on fire, etc. And now, not only do I finally get to wear it, but I’m stripping down to my tiny undies and a clear bra that could better pass for packaging tape. Sister, OK. Close friends there, OK. Extended family and SIL… OK. Photographers… please don’t take pictures of my front until I say you can. :)

As you can see, I’m holding up the front here. I have many pictures of me holding my boobs in fear that the dress would slip and the packaging tape would be on display again. Note to future brides—don’t be like me and hold your boobs for 15 photos. I’ll only show you this one. :)

I don’t know if you can tell in this next picture, but I’m totally holding my breath here. The thoughts that were running through my head at that moment: ‘Oh gosh—maybe I should have tried on the dress to make sure it still fit… maybe I shouldn’t have eaten that entire TUB of malt balls for dinner the other night!’

All is well. The dress fits, and I’m ready to rock it!

So beautiful! I don’t have my dress at my house, which is probably for the best. I would be terrified, just like you. :)

Oh it’s so pretty on you! Love it! Don’t feel bad about the boob pics–I was holding mine up the ENTIRE time i was getting laced in. It’s real attractive to say the least…

gorgeous! I really like the picture where you are holding your breath! I made really weird faces in most of my getting dressed pics and I cried too cause it made everything so real. (and I held my girls in so I know exactly what you mean).

You look gorgeous! I was glad that my dress was with the seamstress the whole time, otherwise I would have been afraid I’d ruin it!

Your dress is beautiful! And you looked gorgeous in it! Mine will be at the bridal shop until 2 days before the wedding. I would probably be afraid to ruin it but after the wedding-it’s fair game!

wow, your dress really is gorgeous. about your question, I got married on a rainy day and wedding reception was on a garden wedding. Nobody knew it was going to rain all of a sudden since it was really hot in the morning. So, yeah. I was so scared that my gown was going to get dirt. and it did. but who cares. I still enjoyed the day. My wedding gown is now cleaned and properly stored anyway.

Love that dress. I’d be afraid that I’d get chocolate on mine.

I’m trying to schedule my alterations right now, and I had that SAME thought today - what if it doesn’t fit?!?!

I forgot how pretty your dress was! I didn’t get my dress back until 3 days before the wedding, so I had no time or opportunity to flounce around the house in it and potentially do damage.
