Mrs. Frozen Yogurt's Picture
Mrs. Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.

Programs

September 4th, 2009 @ 11:07 am by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

For some reason I’ve noticed some really amazing programs lately. Most of the time I think people will just quickly glance at programs, fan themselves, or as my brother and sister did at my college graduation, write notes to each other because they were so bored. In their defense, our speaker was really boring. I even noticed a fellow graduate sleeping through the ceremony. Anyway, I still want to do really cute programs. If for no other reason than to get a great picture of it, or keep one in a scrapbook somewhere. Here is my latest inspiration from We Met in a Bar:

Programs : wedding diy programs 18 programs1

Programs : wedding diy programs 26 programs23

I would put something on the cover though, and change the colors to match our color scheme. She bought the ribbon from Etsy, and I’m not so sure about the paper… maybe PaperSource?

Here’s another I like from Oh So Beautiful Paper:

Programs : wedding diy programs 35 programs31

Programs : wedding diy programs 44 programs41

The problem again will be my inability to be DIY, but these look pretty simple. I can tie knots, glue paper, and hole punch. But they are adorable, so I think it’s worth it.

Have you seen any new and innovative program designs out there? Care to share?

I do like the fan programs that Miss Mouse is DIYing for her wedding. Those are good for the Texas weather if you’re outside.

I really like that first one. You can do either one. Just get the hang of it on the first few and by the end you’ll be a pro.

I NEED those green programs. Seriously. I wonder where the bike images came from?

I really like the green programs. They are doable. Make sure you share your finished product!

@Lish: not sure, but you could try to do alchemy on etsy and have someone create a stamp for you if you can’t find one.

Cupcake had a really cool program that I liked, but I just didn’t have the time to copycat and DIY.

My programs look pretty standard at first glance – ceremony order on metallic paper, matted on some nice auburgine cardstock. BUT, they fold open to reveal a pretty sweet wedding day bingo card (yes, all 175 are different!). I’m hoping our guests will enjoy spotting some the clichéd wedding stuff (first kiss, bouquet toss, etc), as well as some of our more unique items (homebrew, cheese wheel wedding cake, a hug from my Nana) that are included on the bingo game. We even have prizes for guests who get a bingo!

Love the bikes on the second program and the fold-out-ableness (it’s a word!) of the first one!

I love both of those programs so much… we don’t have a need for programs, but this post makes me wish we did! Froyo you have great style… you’re swiftly becoming my fav bee :)
