Mr. Sunbeam and I have been working hard trying to dig up some good music for our Mac/iPod powered wedding. We’ve come pretty far along, so it’s high time I share some tunes with you ladies!

Let’s begin with the ceremony as it stands today. We didn’t plan for it, but Yann Tiersen is playing a big role in this part of the music! The seating of the grandparents will be to Le Matin by Yann Tiersen.
The seating of the mothers will be to the tune of Comptine D’un Autre Ete by Yann Teirsen.

Oddly enough, the song I am walking down the aisle to is not by Yann Teirsen! I’m going to save it for now, since I know some guests follow me here, hehe, but I’ll be sharing it after the ceremony for sure!

ot sure! If we could find a jubilant song for our pianist to play solo we’d go for it, but right now our back up is Scenic World by Beirut (Mr. Sunbeam has sliced it to be all instrumental).
In the next wedding worthy soundtrack post, I’ll be sharing our cocktail hour music!

great choices! i heart yann teirsen. =)
so far, for our processional i’ve picked ’storybook love’ (from the princess bride) for the bridesmaids, then ‘at the beginning’ (from anastasia) for me. our music will be performed on keyboard, so they’re very nice instrumental arrangements.
as far as the seating music, i am coming up with a few songs that might sound nice (i’ve been checking the piano tributes on iTunes) and my pianist has also suggested ben folds’ ‘the luckiest’ as one of those songs. =)
As it stands one of our groomsmen has a masters in music composition and will be playing classical guitar. We might be getting a pianist to accompany him. I really like Beirut.
Oh Yann Tiersen, how I love thee. My husband and the groomsmen walked out to “L’echec”, which is one of “our” songs, even though the words aren’t the most perfect. We also use his music a lot in our videos. He’s amazing.
