Hola hive! Mr. Penguin and I are recovering from the 9 (count ’em) batter dipped, French fried, stick pierced, cinnamon sugar-covered foods we ate at the Minnesota State Fair yesterday, and will be enjoying a wonderful Labor Day in the Midwestern sunshine.

@JoesWifey: The batter isn’t cornmeal based, it’s like a flour batter, so it’s a little different! I don’t discriminate, I love both corn dogs and pronto pups, but Mr. Peng likes Pronto Pups better!

Yay for Minnesota! I really wanted to go to the State Fair but decided it wasn’t worth spending $11 to get in there to spend $50 on deep fried food…esp with a wedding coming up quick Thanks for letting me drool over your choices!

you forgot to try sweet martha’s cookies and deep fried candy bars. They were my favorites when i was there last weekend!

i also tried a rueben stuffed pretzel. . . delicious!
