We are complete opposites, resulting in a wedding to include bridesmaids in pearls and groomsmen in Adidas shell toes. About Mrs. Cloud

If you are like me, you have been following (and drooling endlessly over) Mrs. Powder Puff’s gorgeous recaps. And in case you missed it, her bridesmaids had some ridiculously awesome dresses. So when I realized I needed yet another dress (not that I am complaining, of course) for the bridal tea I will be having the day before the wedding, Mrs. Powder Puff’s girls were there with the perfect solution. About a week ago I ordered Anthropologie’s Behind the Clouds dress. If the name isn’t a sign, then I just don’t know what is…

[source]

It came in this week and is absolutely perfect. It has since sold out in the green color, but is still available in dark grey. If anyone is looking for a cute and flattering dress, I highly recommend it.

This brings my dress total (not including the big white one that will steal the show) to a whopping TEN!! Five were for three showers (two dresses didn’t end up working out), one for the rehearsal which I am again second guessing, this one for the bridal tea, and three for the honeymoon. My name is Miss Cloud, and I have a dress shopping addiction…

Is anyone else stockpiling dresses like this? I can’t be alone in my addiction, can I??

You’re not alone! My addiction is jewelry, though. Necklace for the shower, earrings for the rehearsal dinner… I can’t stop!

I still stockpile dresses. :) Including the one you just pictured (I wore it for my anniversary pictures!).

Plus dresses are always useful, and great for days when you are too lazy to pick out a full outfit. :)

You are not alone. I too have a problem with purchasing dresses. Some of them don’t even have a purpose yet, but they were too pretty to pass up. I’ll find a place for them.

So today I bought my fifth dress. The weird thing is, before my wedding, I didn’t even own a dress. It’s totally true…having a wedding does mean you need a LARGE stockpile of dresses!

This dress is actually waiting for me at Anthropologie as we speak - too funny! I am swinging by on my way home from work - fingers crossed that it’s the right size! :)

I loved dresses before the wedding, and I’ll love them after! They’re so great. My mom fondly remembers me fighting with her about not getting to wear a dress on days that it was cold out. I was a toddler that knew what I wanted!

I love that Anthro dress! I actually had the opposite problem–leading up to my wedding, I had trouble finding a dress I liked!

I stockpiled Anthro dresses too. Showers, engagement parties, pictures, rehearsal… too many excuses for fabulous dresses! Luckily I’ve worn most of them again :)

i’m only recently getting into dresses [though still don't wear them to work...it's only a church or wedding wear atm] but i don’t really think i will be rushing out to buy a dress for every wedding related occasion. i’d probably rush out and by a cute top that i can pair with jeans and nice shoes and then again with my work wear though!

Gorgeous dress! I’m definitely excited to stockpile dresses - there are plenty in my closet, sure, but who wants to wear them!?!?!

Buying dresses should be a budget category! Mine is right in between rent and food! ;)

Can. Not. Wait. to shop for dresses… other than the big white one, which has already been purchased. Right now I am a little low on the dinero, and I have 6+ months until any dresses will be necessary. In the meantime I am stalking a number of dresses online.

I bought that dress for my engagement party and I love it! I want to wear it all of the time! I would call your local store…the LV stores still carry green.

I buy too many dresses anyway, so I’m sure I’ll be purchasing several for wedding festivities! :)

You are so funny! I was just in Anthro yesterday (it’s torture living 10 minutes from one) and didn’t see this dress. It’s perfect for you!

I’ve always been a dress girl, but the wedding sure does provide a great excuse to ’stockpile’. :D

I already have a dress addiction, but this wedding business (and having to attend them), has given me reason to buy more. Why not?!

I am a shopaholic anyways and the wedding is the perfect excuse to let it all out - or better let all the new dresses INto my closet :)

Just bought my engagement shoot dress, I had to stop myself from buying new shoes for it too. I can’t imagine how much I will spend on random outfits.

My biggest dilemma is finding cheap shoes for the big day. I mean, if I’m going to spend $1,400 on a dress, I can’t spend over $100 on my shoes! help!
