When I'm not drooling over wedding blogs, I'm attending grad school, out being a foodie, or attempting to "walk" our cat at the park. Two things guaranteed to excite me are wedding cakes and breaking out my suitcase to travel. Mr. Sunbeam and I are personalizing our hometown wedding to celebrate our high school sweetheart status and PA roots with a few CA touches. About Mrs. Sunbeam

This weekend I posted about our ceremony music and got some very positive feedback! Thanks ladies. Now it’s time to mosey on over to cocktail hour. Immediately following our ceremony we are inviting guests to head off to cocktail hour, while we finish up our photos. Grab a drink, eat some cheese, and enjoy a snippet of our cocktail hour music with me:

All I Want is You Barry Louis Polisar

Come Back Margaret Camera Obscura

Ragged Wood Fleet Foxes

Furr Blitzen Trapper

Sweet Darlin’ She & Him

I Adore You Melpo Mene

We’re going for semi-romantic with a medium tempo without being in-your-face wedding music. So far we’ve collected a little over an hour of music for cocktails which means it’s time to weed and order things. Next in the Wedding Worthy Soundtrack series will be Dinna’ time!

Are you having a cocktail hour? What songs do you have on your playlist for guests to enjoy pre-dinner time?

Love your music choices…mellow, fresh, and something everyone can enjoy (not to mention at least half of these are on my “favorites” iPod play list). We are doing an instrumental standards/swing theme for our cocktail hour. My fiancee loves old music, so there was really no question lol

Egads! I’m loving your playlist… It looks A LOT like ours.
Sigh… Aren’t the Fleet Foxes the best?

Some cute songs, but I will say I’m very clad I didn’t spend any time working on our cocktail hour and dinner music because no one listened or remembered ANYTHING that was planning. They all were talking to loud.

But I hope your music sets the scene you’re looking for.
