Mrs. Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.
About Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

Flowers

September 10th, 2009 @ 10:34 am by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

So I had my first appointment with a florist and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I was sort of worried because I had a hard time finding inspiration for things that represent exactly what we want. Maybe it’s just not out there, and we have to just talk about what we want with the florist so that they can make it. I still took some pictures of things I like. Here are some that I shared:

And of course, I had to show them these gorgeous flowers designed by Nancy Liu Chin:

I don’t love the pots they’re in, but I LOVE the arrangements. I really like the succulents, though we won’t have those.

She also created this bouquet that I really love. While I wouldn’t include the hanging plants from the bouquet (as it might take away from my typewriter letters), everything else is gorgeous. I was thinking of going with all white for me and then having some green and white flowers for the bridesmaids.

Hopefully with these, they’ll kind of be able to see what I like. For those of you married ladies, did you have a hard time finding pictures of flowers that fit exactly what you had in mind?

I had a hard time finding pictures of exactly what I wanted, too. I went in with a whole mess of pictures and was like, “this is what I like about this one…this is what I like about that one…” Hopefully he got me!

Love that first pic, too, btw.

wow! You and I have similar ideas! I had been trolling blogs for a while and saving photos in a file, so when it was time to decide, I realized I had ten photos of sticks with crystals and about 7 of succulents and a bunch with feathers… so I narrowed things down and took my computer to the florist guy. he “got” it pretty quick. :-)
