I was really bummed that we had to leave our cocktail party. In fact, it might be my biggest regret of the day. BUT, it did mean that I got some alone time with my new husband (that is, if you call being followed by a photographer and her assistant being alone).

Out of all the shots that were taken, my favorite ones were the ones we took when we weren’t taking ourselves too seriously.

Because after our saccharine sweet ceremony, we just wanted to have fun:

We took time to walk around San Francisco:

And just when I started getting tired, Mr. Peep made me laugh until my body hurt:

I won’t lie; once the party was over, my whole body—especially my face—was sore and tired from having the time of my life.

Oh the sacrifices we make! LOL. I felt the same way - that we were missing something while everyone was cocktailing. But your photos are gorgeous!!!!

I agree! OMG my face hurt so bad when we crawled into bed on Saturday night! I can’t ever remember being so happy, smiling so much, or laughing so hard - your pictures are wonderful!

I am 100% for taking some time out after the ceremony! It was suggested by all of my married friends, plus the wedding photojournalists website, and it was great little respite in the otherwise insane day. We got to kind of say, hey, this happened!
