About Mrs. Beagle

And then There Were Three

September 11th, 2009 @ 3:01 pm by Mrs. Beagle

Or I guess it would be four, if you count my other ring.

About a month or so ago, Mr. Beagle and I finally completed our shopping for wedding rings. His requests were simple: inexpensive, no diamonds. We browsed through some jewelry stores, but the white gold rings were more than he wanted to spend, and the tungsten/titanium rings seemed overpriced. After I saw Miss Lab’s post on online ring shopping, I decided to peek around on Amazon to see what I could find. Finally, after an hour of searching, I placed an order for a titanium ring. A few days later, Mr. Beagle’s (<$100) wedding ring arrived in the mail. :)

Unfortunately for Mr. Beagle, shopping for my wedding ring was a little more involved. I wanted a white gold ring to match my engagement ring. I was really unsure about what other requirements I was looking for in a ring. After many trips to jewelry stores, we finally ended up at the same store where we bought my engagement ring. An hour later, we left with my ring, and by the time we got in the car to drive home, I was pleading with Mr. Beagle to let me wear it. Alas, he said no. :)

And now for some pictures:

Will your rings match?

Love it! It’s so simple and sleek.

Your rings aren’t half bad either! ;)

Gorgeous rings! I just bought a ‘cheapie’ Tungsten ring off of Ebay for my honey to wear so I can slip something on his finger during the ceremony. His ultimate goal is to get a permanent ring tattoo on his finger.

Your rings are beautiful! And I love the one you picked for the Mr. I decided to get a completely new ring for my wedding band. I wanted something significant to where we are getting married. So I figured the e ring can be worn on the other hand.

Very beautiful. My wedding bands are by the same designer as my engagement ring. I bought a semi-cheap ring online for my husband at e-weddingbands.com

I know it’s dorky but I LOVE that you put your rings on Pride and Prejudice… that is my all-time favorite book!

Also, CanadianBride - my fiance and I are seriously considering getting permanent ring tattoos as well. I love the idea!

If you got your engagement ring at Jared, we might be ring buddies! It took us a while too to find a wedding band to go with it, but my husband actually spotted it. It was part of another set, but we were able to get just the wedding band and I love it! Great job finding all your rings!

Gorgeous rings! And great suggestion on Amazon, we’ve been looking for Tungsten and finding some steep prices too. We might get his from there now!

My rings won’t match, but they do go together. The band is actually a gift from my parents who had an old ring made into a diamond band. :)

Yay! Your wedding band is the same as my engagement ring. It wears well and is very comfortable!

I love the picture of your rings on the spool of thread! I originally wanted my wedding band to match FH’s band but he highly suggested that I wait to see my e-ring because the band that goes with it he loved with the ring. He was right! It matches perfect just like your rings do! His is still going to be white gold so they will match in that aspect but he too wanted a simple band.

So lovely! My FI ring is also titanium, and mine matches my e-ring.

Wow great job- it’s really hard finding a band to match your e-ring! My e-ring was part of a wedding set, but the band is too narrow to have engraved (and we really wanted them engraved) so we just bought our bands. Mine is palladium with a millgrain edge (to match the original set). The Mr. got white gold with a hammered finish and a millgrain edge. It’s not a match to mine obviously, but it has matching elements. I’m SO psyched to get them, and like you I know I will want to wear them right away!

so pretty!!! I’m just glad he had mine designed and hand-made by a family friend - the jeweler will make an exact match pave wedding band to go with the band on my e-ring. so we only have one place to go!

Your rings are so pretty! I love my e-ring but the more I look at the wedding band that came with it, I’m just not feeling it. Maybe we can upgrade one day, but it’ll get the job done in the meantime. ;)

I like your choices.

I am actually surprised that metals like titanium and tungsten are in such high demand. Then again, the styling of wedding bands created with these metals tends to be much different than more traditional designs created in platinum, palladium or gold.

If you are looking for additional alternative metals for wedding bands, ceramic and stainless steel are also options.
