Mrs. Moonbeam's Picture
Mrs. Moonbeam, Los Angeles/San Antonio Age and Occupation: 26, Intern Architect Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Studio Analyst, aspiring Screenwriter Engagement Date: May 20, 2009 Wedding Date: November 2009 Venue: Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (LaCoste, TX) and Mary Gray Events Center (Castroville, TX) About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, but after college I moved to Seattle for a couple of years and loved it. Then I followed my beau out here to LA and we're getting settled in. I've been making things since I can remember. I was raised by crafters. I love to sew, draw, paint, build, cook, bake (anything with a tangible end result is fair game). In that same spirit, I've been hosting since I was old enough to cook and set a fancy table. I kind of take after my grandmother, who believes that your morning OJ always tastes better out of the good crystal.

Centerpieces, Test 1

September 14th, 2009 @ 12:41 pm by Mrs. Moonbeam

Centerpieces, Test 1 : wedding diy Img 422

Here’s a go at the centerpieces. I played around with folding trace paper to wrap on the votives and I made some table numbers out of one of the images I just got from the photographer of our small July wedding. Her name is Leasa Eisele, and you can find her here.

Centerpieces, Test 1 : wedding diy Img 42201 The table number process involved taking a great beach photo and grunging it up a bit. I used this process to start, added this texture (the last one shown) and used this font.

What do you think? Would you add/subtract anything from this centerpiece?

Love the paper and the flowers!

What kind of tables are you having? Should you consider something that is viewer friendly from all sides? Maybe include a picture and a candle on both sides of the fan?

I like it too! I agree about being able to see it no matter where your seat is.

They remind me of something from an old movie… set in a different country. I love em!

I like them! Tons! But I would probably remove the tissue paper from around the votive …

So pretty! I love what you did to the picture and I think the flower accents at the front are great with the parasol in the picture. But I agree with the others about being able to see it from all angles. But this exact one would be gorgeous on some of the other tables that aren’t for seating…guestbook maybe?
