Miss Chick's Picture
Miss Chick, Houston Age and Occupation: 28, Rights and Reproduction Manager Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Computer Programmer Engagement Date: November 15, 2008 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: A farm outside of Houston About Me: Mr. Chick and I met almost ten years ago at Baker Blues, a college jazz party. He was attracted to my intensity, and I was mesmerized by his trivia pursuit skills and his dorm furniture adorned with his initials. We've grown more sophisticated through the years, with our love of wine, owning a house together, and parenthood (of a cat), but we have not lost our silliness or childish sense of humor!

More Engagement Photos

September 14th, 2009 @ 4:36 pm by Miss Chick

Tomorrow we’re going location scouting for our engagement photo shoot. As we plan, I am coming up with more and more engagement photo ideas.

Below images courtesy of Flashdance.

I love the rawness and Andy Warhol feel of these black and white photos of Mr. and Mrs. Meatball!

… And back to my vintage tastes:

I really want to make a GIF! This reminds me of old timey silent movies:

Go here and search for Jennie and Brian (08.10.09) to see the video!

Here are some Flickr photos I found:

I would love some pictures of us just waking up in our messy bed.

And one like this on Sunset or University Drive near Rice University, with those big oak trees!

Maybe a pic of us caught in an intense argument about wines at 13 Celsius:

This is so 3D and original!

I always thought it would be very cheesy to take pictures at the touristy Water Wall in Houston, but I wanted to do it because Mr. Chick and I have fond memories there… here is one I found that is not SO cheesy:

How did you decide what sort of photos you wanted for your engagement shoot?

I see the last one is at the Water Wall (a popular location). And, I can tell that the Rice area is a special place for you–but I’d be scared of th traffic on Sunset or Rice! What other places are you considering?

We didn’t do our homework when we had our engagement photo shoot so doing your homework like scouting locations, certain photography style etc would really pay off, i think! Not saying that I regret my engagement shots but it would be so much better if only we did our homework before the shot. So, good for you! :)

Great inspiration photos- always important! Mr E and I picked our location because we wanted a background completely different than our wedding photos- so we picked an urban parking garage and alley ways

The 3D style photo by JM is fantastic. We aren’t doing e-pics, but if we did I’d totally go for something fun & offbeat like that.

The picture of the guy kissing her forehead is my favorite picture. It is very raw and natural. Love it!
