Mrs. Espresso's Picture
Mrs. Espresso, Corona/Big Bear Age and Occupation: 23, Community Services Specialist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 22, Maintenance Technician Engagement Date: December 21, 2007 Wedding Date: October, 2008 Blogging Since: June 25, 2008 Venue: Outside a rustic b&b in Big Bear Lake About Me: I'm a lover of all things good: coffee, music, travel, rain, and of course- my handsome fiance! I'm a full believer in the "Life is Short," mantra - and therefore, eat lots of dark chocolate. I'm a Geographer by degree and nerd by choice. I cook to the sound of French and Portuguese music even though I speak neither. I love road trips, camping, hiking, and capturing life through the lens of my camera. Take me to Anthropologie and I may never leave. I'm a sucker for pretty packaging, bargain finds, and old movies. Mr. Espresso and I are high school sweethearts and I am so blessed to be this amazing man's future wife.
About Mrs. Espresso

Before I saw him I knew he was there. Our photographers had spotted him. Photographed him. Our parents had walked down the aisle. And then one by one, so did our wedding party; our friends. They took the steps necessary to start our ceremony, our walk, our declaration to love each other, and only each other, forever. And now it was my turn.

My walk to Mr. Espresso begins here:

1

Press play to listen to Iron and Wine’s, “Love and Some Verses” as you scroll through the pictures. This is the song I walked down to.

Ethan and Madison make their way before me, un-bashful and full of joy.

2

3

And then it was time. The music began, my step dad took my arm, smiled at me, and we began to cross the bridge.

4

I remembered the advice of all the bees before me. “Take your time.” “Walk Slowly.” “Take everything in.”

5

Mr. Espresso sees me for the first time, and our photographer captures it.

6

7

Reaching the middle of the aisle, I kissed my step dad and took the arm of my dad for the rest of the walk down the aisle.

8

And on we walked beneath the pines.

9

IMG_5198

I’m happy. I’m calm. I’m happy and calm; and every single person I care about is here.

10

Mr. Espresso holds back tears:

11

And descends down the steps to meet me.

13

He shakes my dad’s hand…

14

I kiss my dad…

16

And join hands with the person who will keep me and love me forever.

awww I’m crying at work!! Love that I could play your song as I scrolled through your pictures. The emotions of the day are captured perfectly through the photos and your words :)

I’m such a sucker for the shot of the groom when he first sees his bride - I always try to catch it when I’m at a wedding. This one didn’t disappoint!
