Mrs. Ramen's Picture
Mrs. Ramen, Phoenix Age and Occupation: 26, Optometry Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Industrial Designer Engagement Date: January 3, 2009 Wedding Date: December 19, 2009 Venue: Phoenix Art Museum About Me: I'm an SF-born, Seattle-raised girl, transplanted to Phoenix where I'll be getting married, and planning all the way from Orange County where I go to school (yes, it feels as crazy as it sounds). I loooooove Yogurtland, am slightly very obsessed with all things paper, am heavily addicted to wedding blogs, deeply desire a puppy, thoroughly enjoy cooking, cry when I watch (almost all) movies, thrive on solo car-karaoke, can't stop being sarcastic, am neurotic about taking pictures of almost everything I eat before I eat it, and aspire to travel the world. My super-talented fiance and I are attempting to DIY a majority of our massive (~350 guests) "clean & modern, yet romantic, but completely unexpected, with a teeny dash of vintage" wedding, stay within our not-so-massive budget, and somehow get a really luxe (but still fun!) look/feel at the same time. In music terms (since we're both really into music) think Coldplay meets Motown meets Kanye meets Sinatra.

Gratuitous Body Shots

September 16th, 2009 @ 5:06 pm by Mrs. Ramen

Okay, so they’re not really body shots, but they are WAAAAAY sexier than my body. Here is my sexay ring.

One of the engagement pictures my dear friend Becca shot for us (more on that later!).

These pictures aren’t so clear, BUUUUT…. they’re just soooo cute!

The boy did good. Real good.

Did you fall in love with the ring he picked for you? What does it look like, and would you have changed it in any way?

The boy DID do good. Good for you, Lady. :)

My boy did exceedingly well, too. Mine is a round diamond on a white gold Tacori band, with a stunning pave design surrounding the diamond. It’s elegant and feminine.

I fall in love with it all over again every time I look at it. Just like with him. ;)

So pretty, Ramen! (And no, I wouldn’t change ONE THING about my ring. He did great… and I’m sure it didn’t hurt that I gave him some strong hints about my likes and dislikes!)

OH that is gorgeous!! I feel in love with my ring the minute I realized I wanted color in the side stones. Our birthstones are aquamarine (mine) and sapphire (his) and I asked him to work that in if at all possible. He did and I love it! He also surprised me with the antiquey look that I have always drooled over with the etching on the band, bead set edges and then he took it another step further—he added a diamond on each side of the band as peek-a-boo diamonds from his grandmother’s engagement ring his mother provided him to use. It’s beautiful and just perfect. I love the uniqueness since finding a ring with those colors is impossible and also it’s very “us” with the meaning behind it.

Oh yes, your boy did very good! I love mine, and I really don’t think I would change anything about it! It’s simple, classic, and fits my jewelry style so well!

Your Boy did awesome! Very pretty. My guy did great-I have a 3.5 finger, and simple tastes. I fell in love with the Tiffany setting and he picked out the most perfect diamond- not too big (a concern of mine with such a small finger).

Gorgeous!

I have a Tiffany 1 carrat solitare. I was sooooo happy that he bought me exactly what I wanted, but I would have loved anything he gave me. :) It could have been a piece of string tied together and I would have been over the moon.

Beautiful ring! But I’m biased - it looks a lot like mine : )

We actually picked the ring out together because he wanted to get me the ring he knew I would love. I think I had more fun shopping for rings than for my wedding dress!
