7 months ago, I didn’t know Weddingbee existed. 6 months ago, Weddingbee became my life. One week ago, my eyes nearly bugged out of my head when I received the email from Pengy welcoming me to the hive as a blogger! I’m excited to be a bride, to be a blogger, and most importantly, to be a comrade in arms with all members of the hive as we plan, craft, and rejoice together!

I knew well before I was accepted as a bee which character I loved the most. I had it all logically laid out:

I was born in March – In like a lion, out like a… LAMB!
I love the symbolism that a lamb represents in Christianity
I grew up watching Lamb Chop; gosh, I miss that puppet!
You are Lamb Rogan Josh! Get in my belly! Yumm-o.
Dick Lamb and the Morning Wave! Yeah, for the 757ers, you know the best DJ for your morning commute!

I’m a consultant by day and a crafter, reader, jogger, and swimmer by night. I don’t have a TV in my apartment, but I still consume plenty of Netflix! I’m a blogaholic who cut my teeth first on political blogs, then on food blogs, and now on wedding blogs. Mr. Lamb, who will otherwise be referred to as J-Lamb, J-lamma-ramma-ding-dong, Big J, J to the hizzhouse, Lamb Lover, my woolly counterpart, etc., just went back to school after finishing his commission with the US Navy. I may have him back on dry land, but a certain blue devil is monopolizing a lot of his time. Since I’m in Norfolk until the wedding, we’re experiencing the trials and tribulations for yet another round of long distance. Oh! And the booger gets to live in the house we bought while I stay in Norfolk and work. Not that I’m jealous or anything.

I’m hot and heavy into several DIY projects which I’ll be revealing over the coming weeks. I’m also excited to share with you how I’m interacting with our wedding coordinator. Our “vintage eclectic” look is coming together with a lot of hard work on the research and budgeting fronts. I’m looking forward to spreading the wedding planning love with you all!

PS - When I wrote my title, all I could think of was: “Did I stutter?” Any other Stanley fans out there???

@Espresso - I totally had to look up SYTYCD . . . bashful face. I blame it on not having a TV at the moment. I like the dancing shows, but don’t really follow them. I like to have my own dance parties in my jammies. I don’t have to watch SYTYCD, because IKICD (I know I can dance). LOL.

Eee! I can already tell I’m going to be a big fan of the Lamb.

Dh and I don’t have TV either…we netflix like nobody’s business (did you know you can go online and watch some movies, and lots of tv shows on demand with your netflix login? AMAZING! –especially when we’re impatient for the next disc of LOST)

LAMB! You are WUNDERBAR! Just a quick silly Christianity-related lamb story to welcome you and hopefully elicit a guffaw…I’ve loved animals my entire life & when little, I was told stories from the Children’s Bible–you know, the one with the sweet pictures? Well, I had always heard of Jesus as the “Lamb of God”, and so many of the pictures had this very nice looking man with the most adorable little lamb on his lap and the lamb always looked so sweet and cute. So, you can imagine my disappointment when I found out that Jesus was actually the GUY and not the little lamb. (See? You were a favorite from the beginning!) Welcome!

I’m soooo late but I just realized you’re a Norfolk, VA Bee!!!! Yaaaay! I’m from Norfolk too. I got married a little over a year ago at Vista Point Norfolk Naval Base. If you need any help with local vendors I know quiet a few great ones. The Harrison Opera House is gorgeous!! great choice. Good Luck with everything! You should totally try to have a Bee meet up in the Hampton Roads area for all the VA Bees!! I would def. go!
