Details, details, details. I love the little things. Here is the last peek at some special things we had for our guests, and the last details of our reception before we get to the theme of the night - P A R T Y! While this takes the events a little out of order from the way they ran in the evening, I thought it best to leave the party to its own post.

Out in the pre-function space, where our guests originally had cocktails, we setup a gelato cart from a popular, local shop. Of course, this led to me find somewhere to have personalized ice cream cups printed.
The Paciugo cart with gelato for the guests with three flavors to choose from.
Mr. H finally got to leave his special touch on the evening - a cigar bar for all to enjoy. D’Havana Cigars did a great job, and even rolled a couple of special cigars for Mr. H and our dads.
These are our infamous cake stands (which now are plant holders). I couldn’t find anything that I liked enough, so Pops H (who works with steel in his industry) created these beasts. I loved them for our wedding, even though they weight about 100 lbs. a piece. See that black cake? It was supposed to have our monogram on it as well…
We were polite… I didn’t want any smashed cake in my face, but I did give Mr. H a rather large bite when it came to cutting his cake!
Towards the end of the night it was time for the garter/bouquet toss. I tried to skip this part, as it just wasn’t too important to me, but Mr. H insisted.
As you can see, those calm women in the previous pic took their bouquet getting very seriously.
Next up? The garter. Well, I’ll let the pics speak for themselves.
So now, for the reason behind the laughter. As all of the guys gathered around to catch the garter, our DJ, Andy Austin, called out Mr. H’s name over the mic. What for? Well, this cousin is one of the only bachelors left, so instead of a traditional toss, we just gave it to him outright. Mr. H thought it was funny, but his cousin? Not so much!
And finally, our favors. I took vases and put the custom monograms I created on all of them. Our florist, Bella Flora, filled them with baby’s breath and created a display towards the exit of the room. We left the following note for our guests:
We thank you all for sharing in such a
momentous occasion in our lives.
Historically, baby’s breath flowers
symbolized festivity.
To remember this festive night,
please take a vase of baby’s breath
with you as you leave.
