About Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

My Hair

September 22nd, 2009 @ 5:27 pm by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

I’m pretty certain that I want to wear my mantilla veil for the ceremony only and then put a hair flower in for the reception. I’m actually thinking I might try to make the hair flower (I’ll take pictures of the process once I tackle that project).

But what about the rest of my hair? I’m thinking I want to wear my hair half-up, but I have been drawn to some of the more lose updos. Here’s what I’m thinking for updos (all photos from Project Wedding).

My Hair : wedding hair 17 hair

My Hair : wedding hair 26 hair7

(Mrs. Peppermint!)

My Hair : wedding hair 35 hair3

I think sticking a hair flower in any of those would be easy and so pretty! The thing is, I’ve been growing my hair out for this wedding, so why not show that off? So here’s the half-up options:

My Hair : wedding hair 44 hair2

My Hair : wedding hair 52 hair5

My Hair : wedding hair 62 hair4

(Is that Kelly Kapowski?)

My Hair : wedding hair 72 hair6

My hair is naturally curly, so it should hold the curl well all night even though it’ll be mostly down. Also, my dress is strapless, so I would like to have some hair down to cover up all the bare skin.

Which style do you like best?

I really like the simplicity of the very last picture! But all of the options are beautiful.

I really like the last picture. And good call on the Kelly Kapowski shout-out. :-)

i’d have to see it on you to choose, since some hairstyles age you more than others. but i’m digging the last one so far

I say try them all b/c they all have promise. I am partial to Ms. Tiffany Thiessen’s style (aka Kelly Kapowski :-).

I do love the look of these pics.. but I’d definately suggest getting a trial and seeing how long your hair lasts down. Remember that you will have your hair down for a LONG time.. think 6-10 hours.. you want to make sure you’re gonna look your best for the ceremony and the dancing afterwards!

I love the last one, it really is beautiful. I have naturally curly hair too - are you planning to use anything to combat frizzies?

I too vote for your last picture, simple and pretty without tons of product. Looks like it would be a great choice.

@Miss_Carmel: Yes definitely. You never know what the Texas weather will bring and humidity and my hair are not friends.

Hmm… thats hard! They’re all gorgeous options. The half up option is more relaxed & fun, but there is something so beautiful about an updo. I guess it depends on the overall tone of your wedding day!

I was thinking of doing something like Mrs. Peppermints hairstyle with swoop bangs and a headband BUT THEN I saw Mrs Sprinkles totally mod straight bangs and I swooned. Too many choices!

Kelly. Show your beautiful “grown-out-ness”. Regardless, though, you’ll be gorgeous.

Michelle Williams’ Oscar do is also serving as my source of inspiration. I’ve never seen her look so beautiful.
